It's not about the speed of the crash but the fact that ISI standards are not up to the mark to ECE, Snell or DOT standards.Originally posted by RoadRanger View Post

If you are talking about speed limit, then none.. But if you are talking about roads. Then yes, there are roads where the speeds are not sufficient.. But it is the matter of risk and safety..Originally posted by Nidin View PostWhere it is allowed to ride at 200 KMPH in India?Splendor - 2k to 2006

Re: Helmet, accessories to come free with two-wheelers
Yes, You are correct. We are the first and last person to take care of our safety. Some people think like they are the expert drivers who can survive without RVM, crash guard and helmet. Or helmet is not required for a ride at short distance etc. Remember, If you are not the person who made the accident, you should be alive to blame others.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostIf you are talking about speed limit, then none.. Only the right to select Vehicle-Insurance firm is rational, rest are irrational. We'll see about that in two quarters.
that's not right, find a better way to catch the morons.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostI also wish if the mirrors would come riveted or welded to the bikes body/frame/handlebar.
Keep free helmets at home for occasional pillions.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostFree ISI helmet. If you can spend 6+ Lakhs on a bike, buy a better helmet, not a 700 Rupee ISI helmet.
Do you think helmet lobbyists penetrated Kerala Assembly?Originally posted by Nithesh View PostSo after cops fail to enforce their helmet rule around the country, which has probably dented the local ISI mark helmet sales expectations, they now want manufacturers to buy us ISI marked crappy helmets instead and these additional costs will eventually be passed on to the owner in the price of his/her motorcycle. Just another business tactic from the local helmet manufacturers to boost their sales.
Perhaps traffic police in plain clothes might catch more offenders.Originally posted by Nithesh View Post...Just last month KA cops made it mandatory for pillions to wear helmet. I was pleasantly surprised for a week because people in my city were happily following it. Then a week later, neither the cops cared nor the pillions. People started riding without them and cops saw them and did nothing. People who bought second helmets for pillions ended up wasting money and only the helmet manufacturers won here.
Let's hope just that, an April fool's prank!Originally posted by xplod566 View PostIt doesn have one.So whats gonna happen to it after 1st april(Hmm April fools day,so gove decides to impliment the rule on april fools day...Starnge)
Most idiotic one of the above laws. We need to find simpler solutions.Originally posted by Nithesh View PostWhat does this MVD guy think manufacturers can do about cellphones? Install Signal jammers?
You're right on track there.Originally posted by ishaikhi View PostI think its not totally the fault of the manufacturers its the fault of commuters as well who don't bother wearing a helmet also the traffic police for not implementing the rules. Govt should invest more in educating citizens about road safety just how its done in the UK
Perhaps show some road accidents videos while films/serials like Dhoom are being relayed on TV right in the middle of chasing sequence!

It's not like as you understood. The 'Bluetooth facility in the vehicle' should be auto deactivated when the vehicle is running.Originally posted by Nithesh View Post"The MVD has also asked manufacturers to find a solution to deactivate Bluetooth facility on mobile phone while the motorcyclist possessing it is driving the vehicle" Lol. What does this MVD guy think manufacturers can do about cellphones? Install Signal jammers?

It's not about two-wheeler dude.Originally posted by Naveen Vajja View PostWhich two-wheeler has bluetooth !!! I think the signal-jammer makes more sense ... in a way
In the English news papers it is written wrongly as Two-Wheeler
. It was announced by Transport Commissioners Tomin Thachankari. He is very well aware of the new technologies as he own an audio company also. It is nowhere mentioned in Malayalam news paper as Two-Wheeler. It's all about the 4 wheeler vehicles which is having Blue-Tooth connectivity.
