Bajaj had then no clue of what the hell a resonance chamber was.
now they are talking about technology like as if re-invented the wheel.
The twin spark ignition is a world over tend to improve combustion and reduce emissions. The Honda has the i-DSI engines and so do a lot other makers. Bajaj claims they are the first to make a small engine with this tech. Do you need some superficial brains to replicate the tech on a multicylinder engine onto a lowsy pulsar head?
Anyways, TVS still beat Bajaj in their own game. Even with the so called DTSi tech, their 150/180 can stand no chance against a stock RTR which has a single plug and the most basic engine layout.
All this tech-gizmo bling bling is to get new customers.
The TVS flame has one of the best designed cylinder heads, and the twin spark tech was to improvise the swirl combustion. So why didnt they stop RE when they did it to the bullets?
Such crap logic can only sell in India. I wonder which court in India closed matters in favour of Bajaj. Damn, didnt twin spark ever exist before bajaj?
FYI a resonance box is a chamber which is used to boost the low-end-mid character of an engine while the engine is a bit peaky in nature otherwise. Its not gonna give you any extra horses and also the top-speed is always a restriction on engines with a resonance chamber.
Let bajaj fight this new exhaustec crap. Who cares!
You are right, they seem to be the only one who makes motorcycles and sack employees for news.I will sell my p180 soon and go for RTR180.Hell's Angel

Bajaj applies patent for the rear wheel .... its a unique technology which makes a uni cycle a two wheeler... crap!
Hero Honda should probably apply for a patent for decals, they have been using that technology (succesfully) for a long time now!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Bajaj has become Rakhee Sawant of automobile industry now.

Well Bajaj has provided one of the legendary bikes for this country, But they are so struck with it and went out of options that they brought down different displacements on the same architecture or blueprint.
With sales going down month by month (around 16% fall cmpared to last month), They are trying to serach for options with useless patent things.
Now I thin bajaj will sue TVS and will tell them to removed exhausts from their bikes
2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

Helloo..Please don't resort to this cheap publicity stunt to gain people's attention.Post-Flame Episode did make a dent on 'your' sales rather than other way around. It's creating a Boomerang effect on your sales.Just take the current thread's response(negative) as a small sample in your marketing research exercise.
Be in the news for good reasons, not for BAD reasons.Demeaning others on un-accountable affairs is a serious issue and please refrain from it and do a proper homework before going the whole hog in battling it out in courts.

In the end Bajaj is a Marketing company rather than being an Engineering company. TVS is an Engineering Company, so is Honda.

Gentlemen where does the news report states that BAL plans to sue TVS for for patent infringment, it just informs two things:
1. Exhaustec by BAL has been approved by Patent office.
2. BAL had sent notice to TVS motors in 2007, come-on 2 years ago! It doesnt mention that BAL will drag TVS to court or approach court for any order.
So come on, let them act first and lets then criticize.
I expect BAL to launch new products in colloboration with Kawasaki and BAL and not waste their time/money in such minor issues.
@Joel: Remember we had big long fight here in xBhp and finally ruling in favour of TVS in twin spark issue, but sadly that didnt work in our legal system.
