Yamaha has brought in the most awaited R3 but it isn't a huge hit!! We cant criticize the manufacturer! At the end, sales volume is what matters for them!

One thing that Bajaj has to stop doing is. They should not suddenly stop production of their product! Hey have discontinued NS200 which was a great offering IMO
Both variants Discover 150 have also been axed silently.

Agree mate. The answer to your question in second line is in first line. It is Sales. Business always look for profits. Moreover unless they retire one products, they cannot make way for next one. That's simple law of nature. New improved things making way for oldies.

I hold no grudges against Japs or others, My point was purely on the basis of Bringing a "Value for money Products at a affordable Price point for price sensitive india Mango Man" . Unfortunately for some strange reason;s , Japanese has failed in that miserably (May be due to lack of local manufacturing Or any xyz reason) & RE;s continue to sell so called sub standard overpriced products in the name of Macho Image & that ever elusive thump.

& Pls someone tell me how this one is a competent product.. they are selling a 200cc performance bike with the tag of 373 cc...
Don't get me wrong the weight of the bike is all that m concerned abt.. & its not a rocket science to understand that bike is underpowered due its power to weight ratio its a decent touring bike at affordable price thats all.

        Relax Dost.

Yes. After all it does have the Duke 390 derived engine.

Moreover, why are so many people going referring to this one for touring. Did Bajaj themselves say that this is a "Power Cruiser". I dont remember them saying that this is a Touring machine. Isn't it so?

Had been to the Bangalore launch event, the bike does look smashing and the pricing is the icing on the cake. Test drives are in tune with their punchline- Dominate the night - from 7pm to Midnight!! Will try my luck with a TD tomorrow, as today's slots were all taken by the time I reached the showroom..

Engine note is very different from the KTM's although its basically the same engine. Approximate on-road price for the ABS version would be about 1.75 Lacs

Some pics from the event which had the Bangalore Royal Enfield Riders Club members as chief guests.Click image for larger version

Does anyone know what is the red line on this thing.

If they had given a top speed of 170 the cycle parts(including engine parts) they are using simply won't be enough and increase the price and push it in ball court of KTM.

Its positioned pretty well and has a nice engine with good enough top speed, at least it won't be a pretend cruiser like RE which can't even cruise at 100
kmph with all its extra large engines made of steel of same quality as

I will definitely buy it, but the weight is a concern for day to day practicality.

Top speed is just a number, even on highway 120 is more than enough to cruise on a highway for a tourer to make an excellent timed runs. because the wind blast above that is not practical.

If you want top speed wait for few more months and get the 2017 duke 390 or rc 390. If you have money get a 500cc middle weight or a 1000cc will give all the top speed you desire.

Or forget a two wheeler and get a car and you will be able to zoom on highways at 150 all day, before you crash when a truck coming on the wrong side of the lane or a idiot with his cattle decides to take them on stroll on highways or when a tractor driver decides the shortest distance between A-B is go on wrong side of the lane and die become ghost and you get the power of teleportation to go anywhere you want in an instant.

Just compare Dominar stats with classic 350

Lik power, torque, weight, tubeless tyres, Abs, headlamps, FI, Smoothness, maintainance.

What else you want for 1.5 lakh bike.

I ve a RS200 n I ve done 270kms in one run. If that can do 130 all day, i ve high hopes for this.

Its a good start...Dominar is currently dominating the internet...its doing justice to the name atleast . M sure with the reviews and sales it would dominate that as well.

What tyres are being used on the D400? Looks like it can be used for the CBR250r as well
                          Nice tread pattern.

Are the tyres tubeless? Because the specs simply say 'radial' and silent on whether tubeless or tubed.
