One thing I noticed is that in India, Ninja 400 makes 49 ps, whereas in other countries, it is available with 45 ps power to be in line with their licensing rules.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 400 launched in India at Rs. 4.69 ex-showroom
Hmm, that's interesting. Almost all the Indian online publications have reported it to be around 45hp only today. So, I'm not sure whether this a typing mistake from Kawasaki or not. That 49hp power is why it returns almost 44hp at the rear wheel in the MCN dyno run huh.
I don't think this will have good sales numbers as the old Ninja 300. I see only many litre class ZX10R type owners buying it for their city duties..
Also now, thinking about the fact that Royal Enfield is planning to launch a 47hp 650cc twin around ₹3lakhs with friendly characteristics in the coming months, many newbies can buy that get a taste of power(saving money too) and can eventually upgrade to a Z900 or Ninja 1000 which are far more VFM than Ninja 400.
Cheers!

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 400 launched in India at Rs. 4.69 ex-showroom
Some good upgrades IMO- decent bump in power, LED headlights, ABS, better front disc brakes, new looks with dunlop tyres , wider fork and almost no change in weight compared to N300. The tank capacity in N400 is 14L as compared to 17L of N300, perhaps reduced to keep the overall dimensions and weight same.
I think the price is justified for a very usable urban+highway tourer with all the above features.Last edited by sparky; 04-04-2018, 09:16 AM.

What a waste opportunity. Instead someone will pay just 30K extra and get the Z650 with around 30 nm of more torque and around 15 more bhp.
Yes you’ll be in a different league by paying just 30k extra.

OD shows how the bad pricing of N400 is..Originally posted by h_bharti View PostWhat a waste opportunity. Instead someone will pay just 30K extra and get the Z650 with around 30 nm of more torque and around 15 more bhp.

"The on-road prices in Mumbai are Rs 6.13 lakh for the Z650 versus Rs 5.75 lakh for the Ninja 400. Rs 38,000 in all. And if you finance it - 80 per cent of on-road price, 10.5 per cent, five years - the Ninja 400 comes to Rs 9,887 per month on EMIs. And the Z650?
Wait for it. Rs 645 more"

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 400 launched in India at Rs. 4.69 ex-showroom
Anzen is offering only 20k launch Discount for N400 , On road Price in Goa is 585000 which i think is highest in India , while N300 is been offered with cool 60k Discount .
Some news i heard is that all Non-ABS Model of N300 has been dumped in India due to which high discount are been offered due to high inventory. N300 without ABS on Road now comes to 3.95 while N400 is priced at 5.65 (inclusive launch discount ) on Road . which means difference is 1.70 which is huge for any prospective buyers .
Upgrading to Z650 or N650 is a trap , because addtional investment of 30k for Z650 or 65k for N650 looks marginal in procurement cost but operational cost will be much higher , 650 will have same top speed of near 200km when compared to 400 but spares and maintenance cost will be 40% more . Even Tyre change after few years will be more costly then N400/N300 change .
If Kawa is planning to lure prospective N400 into 650 trap then it will back fire . Yes both Z650 and N650 are commuter friendly but its is simply not practical to ride them in city conditions unless you always considered them as weekend bike . with Cheaper SMK and RE Bikes coming with large capacity cc bikes Soon and Triumph-Bajaj too will be joining this party till 500cc market soon , Kawas plans will backfire for sure or they will gradually reduce price of N400 when ABS will become mandatory in 2019 on wards N300 ABS will also come to the party but many in Asian countries are also expecting Z400 or Versys X-400 in 2019-20 .Last edited by coldfire2005; 04-09-2018, 11:40 PM.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 400 launched in India at Rs. 4.69 ex-showroom
Some Buzz not sure if it is true that N250 ABS will replace N300 in India . Both bikes produce 39ps (N250 and N300 ) and India already has Z250 BS-IV . Pricing for N400 seems to be a deliberate move to fast sell N300 which for some months has been sold at 60k discount and create market for a lower variant entry . ABS will be mandatory from April next year

How much is it coming out to be on road? And why not N650?
I gotta tip from my inside source that they are going to reduce overall price of N400 once they are done selling off all N300s.

Price difference is around 80k between N400 and N650 . Regarding Choice of N400 . It can do anything which N650 can do and spares will be cheaper ,including tyres and i was not really looking for a Big bike at this point . I am looking at daily-commuter + Weekend Bike also one major factor was N400 is newer design and has all the things needed for a 2018 bike .Originally posted by drive_angry View PostCongrats man!

With 49BHP and DYNO Chart expected to be around 45 BHP + it is has powerful as a 500 CC Bike out their and can match Top speed of 650 so made sense for me to stick with it .
N400 price drop will not happen just because N300 will be withdrawn , in fact i heard that 2018 N250 which has same 39BHP will be introduced as N300 replacement but still at a hefty 4 lacs price range . You can also read what Kawasa India CEO said : N400 is placed between N300 and N650 in India ,unlike globally where it is replacing N300 , In Thailand Both N250 is sold along with N300 and N400 but price difference between N300 and N250 is minimal and same is likely to happen in India Soon.Last edited by coldfire2005; 05-25-2018, 03:48 PM.

Congratulations man, you may very well be the first person in India to get the N400! Please do write a proper review for us once you get the bike, as there aren't any Indian reviews for it.Originally posted by coldfire2005 View PostMe taking the Holy Dip and Booking it , Loan done , Delivery in Mid June
