Seems they are still testing it and by the looks of it , it seems the actual deliveries might take time.
There is no bike in Pune yet and the delivery dates are not fixed. They should have launched it after making it available at showrooms.

Such last moment changes create suspicion and erodes value. And many products and movies failed because of such delays in last minute.

Bang on point. Many people have booked the bike just on the basis of the launch and the reviews that were released soon after the launch.
There is a high chance that the reviews were curated. [My intuition]
If the bike that was launched on 6th December and the bike that will be delivered have differences albeit minor, it will erode the already low trust that people have on home grown brands.

U ppl need to calm down.. its just Minor updates that they are making... Feedback that they have got from the experts from the media test ride!!.. its a good thing that they are putting so much efforts & listing to the feedbacks. Y so much hurry??....

I'm not sure how much you can figure out from one post. However there's something called component durability testing.

Happens with all the products.

If you follow the auto industry closely you'll find many old Fiat test mules are found testing.

Hey guys, I too understand that TVS seems to be handling this distribution of display bikes very badly. But I feel this is mainly due to the launch happening in the year end holiday time. Many part suppliers, logistics, employees, industry schedules, etc might have interruptions. Also, this being their premium global product, I reckon they don't want to make any messy blunders.

Mostly by January second week, display bikes should reach the selected showrooms.

At least the ones who booked now may get the bike soon, what kinda sucks for the ones who will get interested only after proper test ride is they will get to own only from March/April!

Hope they ramp up production soon..

PS- Are they testing the tyre hugger now? [emoji23][emoji28]

Reviews could be curated. Often media people are often friendly with manufacturers. They just want news. They don't want to hurt anyone, so obviously reviews would be in favor of any brand, for any product when new. When the next version launches, they highlight the issues in old version and they say they are fixed now.

If they are making changes on feedback received, then the obvious question would be. Didnt they analyze the market properly? or didnt they make the product meeting their initial analysis. If they are making changes now, it raises eyebrows as how could one make a product without proper market analysis. Also, media people aren't true riders. considering their feedback is a joke.

If the component durability testing is passed, why would one test it now? since when they were testing? i wont mind them taking another two years for making and testing. Manufacturing is a complex process and often expensive and everyone understands it. But testing after launch is something different.

The BMW G310 had some gearbox complaints and that engine seems to be drinking oil initially (not sipping), as per some BMW forums. Not sure to what extent it is true. as per my knowledge, most german brands drink oil (BMW, VW). and this new testing news comes after product is launched. wont such things raise doubts? even those who are interested will start looking with suspicion now.

Hope u remember wat happened when the ktm duke 390 2017 was launched so many ppl who bought the initial batch was facing the issues related to console malfunction & headlight flikring issue same thing happened with dominar was launched when owner where facing the ecu related problem... In the European part ktm Even recalled the initial batches due to those electronic malfunction. Its better to late the launch than giving half baked products to the riders & face criticism. Its there premium product & they want to give perfect product to the ppl if they have got some feedback & they are working on it then i don't see any point to criticize it. As far as baised reviews are concerned each & every automotive media house has applaud this bike. I don't think every automotive media in this country is giving baised reviews. Specially Powerdrift & overdrive. I would say have some patience & wait for the test rides to begin if u don't trust media reviews.

Only prospective buyers or ardent fans watch things too closely. By testing after launch, these people make a note and spread the message and recommend others to just hold on. Often these are the influential people. When the product starts selling finally, everyone would be ready with a microscope. That could cause issues. Even things which are normal start looking abnormal.

If the product is half baked, then they could delay the launch. but why launch now? they already showed it at expo.

I am not criticizing anyone or anything.

comming to reviewers part, Check their reviews for a product. And check its next gen version reviews. you will know how true they are. And that's not a bad thing either.

Guys, relax.. This is the first time TVS is launching a premium product and they sure are no experts in handling a premium product launch. All this is expected. Just give them some time which they deserve and let the bike roll out on roads. We will have a clear answer for all why's, how's.. I will key down my opinion on the bike once my cousin gets delivery. Will also tell its performance in comparison with my R3.

I really hope they live upto it! Chennai showrooms said, they'll start test rides today. But haven't received the call
