Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!

What is the engine oil used for the RR 310. I Checked with the service centre (DHIRAA tvs0), where i use to service the RTR 200. Right now they are using only TVS TRU4 Synthetic 10W 30 (which made me laugh). Also there is a special oil designed by TVS for RR 310, but it has not reached the service centre, hence they are using the TVS TRU4 SYNTHETIC.

    Guys
    I am facing abs problem.
Abs light keeps blinking when the bike is idle. Once i put in gear and rev , the light goes off and dont turn on untill put the ignition off and then on.

    Anyone else facing this?

Looking at the pics, I remembered functions of 'Samuhik Vivah' (Marriage in Group).

Some problem i am facing so far -

    1. The bike stalls out of nowhere in the middle of riding. Happens some time and sometime its fine.
Heard the same with another owner. You can escalate this issue with TVS through mail.
    2. There's a weird sound coming from the chaindrive or from somewhere from lower rear end of the bike whenever i go over bumps or accelerate a bit faster than usual. This was present when i took the delivery as well. Told the service centre guy at the time of PDI as well. Initially i thought that the chain was loose but after chain tightening as well its still there. Sounds like something is loose.
Please check the toolbox which came with the bike. Normally it tends to make sound, most probably this might be the reason. You can fill in the container with some cloths so that the tools dont rattle.

    Some observations-

    1. Hoot to ride. 2nd gear 60 kmph is easy-peesy and you wont even know you are going at 60.
    2. The manual says avoid more than 7000 rpm till 1st service which i think would be quite easy. Like the bike can easily do about 80 kmph or more till 7000 rpm. Havent tried that yet though.
I think it does 100kmph @6000 rpm, thanks to the massive front sprocket.
    3. Since i am graduating from a 125CC bike, it feels quite heavy and difficult for me to flick the bike at my will. Hands and legs will take time to get used to the extra weight.
Do some squats and push ups
    4. The grunt is somewhat annoying at low RPMs but when the RPMs rise it starts getting awesome and orgasmic.
    5. Headlights are alright. Dominar is better i guess but at the same time Dominar headlights are problem for oncoming traffic due to the glare. Dont think RRs headlight are a problem as far as i have noticed. Plus they are much better looking.

    Some help required-

    1. Which helmet do you guys think would suit the bike best. Any suggestions ? I am looking at MT Thunder 3 SV and Shiro Motegi SH 881.
    2. Need some gloves as well.

    TIA

    This is how i do
    1st Gear - 0 to 15 Kmph
    2nd gear - 10 to 30 Kmph
    3rd gear - 25 to 50 Kmph
    4th gear - 45 to 65 Kmph

Do you have a highway run ?
    Mine is internal city use.
    Congratulation for the new ride...!!
    Some pointers in BOLD.
