Rented the bike for a whole weekend , had 737 kms on the odo. The bike is well put together however the engine doesn't rev as freely as the Dukes and doesn't feel as smooth as the dominar. At 110 kmh it was vibey. Perhaps due to the run in..not sure. But otherwise bike looks very substantial

I think the YouTube reviews are all enough for me. Idk how a vbox test can be staged incase you guys think that the bike is being projected faster than it actually is. Other mechanical things can be checked in the display bikes as well. Like what serious shit can you guys unearth which the experienced reviewers couldn't get !?
This is one of the most ignorant comments I have seen on this forum in my short time here. If you want to book a bike without a test ride then go ahead and do it buddy. Not everyone thinks like you do.

Also nobody wants to unearth "serious shit" on the bike ... they just want to see if the bike fits their riding profile and preferences. Even I got my rtr200 without a test ride (it being a naked and me having mostly city commutes I knew it would be fine. For rr310 no way ...I would definitely want to know how the bike would gel with me).

Oh and if you think people can't tell whether a bike agrees with them within 5 mins of a test ride in city (let alone 15 minutes) then i would question if you are enough of a "technical and experienced rider" to get this bike....

So Chennai & Hyderabad are the neglected ones with no test rides.. While Bangalore & Mumbai seem to have most test rides (youtube)..

Man, Those are some nice drawings.. Which tool did you use? Are those numbers correct, i mean as per specs of the bikes mentioned?

I didn't knew that RR310 has longer wheelbase than Zma and others.
All reviews say that TVS did Inclined engine to reduce wheelbase and used longer swing arm for agility. This was inline with other Apache's which have shorter wheelbase. Didn't care to check the actual numbers because, everyone was saying the same everywhere. Shorter wheelbase and longer swing arm. Thanks for the clarifications.

    Ran through the images again.
I think, in all images of RR310, the GC line is biased. I mean, its close to the center of circle. We all know, the GC line should be hardly few inches above the ground, but in your images, its closer to center, but they are too far away for Zma and others.
Could you check once again and confirm ?
your correct , it has short wheelbase with longer swingarm , which interm replicate long wheelbase advantages.
so instead of long wheelbase they just comeup with new way to replicate long wheelbase in short wheelbase bike

Wheelbase / Ground Clearance of RR310 is 1365mm/180mm, Zmr is 1360mm/145mm, Pulsar 220 is 1350mm/160mm.

Adding a few line drawings showing the likeliness of a RR310 / ZMR scraping bumps based on Wheelbase / Ground Clearance.

It's not hanging. If you want a logical answer, that would be it depends on the suspension sag! 180mm with stiff suspension will have much lesser travel than soft suspension with 190mm ground clearance.

You are trying to say a bicycle will not scrape because it has shorter wheelbase but a Mercedes will because it has a longer wheelbase!

Ever thought why? The size of the speed breaker! Think about it, it'll start making sense now. If both the wheels are on the speed breaker, it'll not scrape, if not it may have very less clearance or may scrape.

Btw pulsar 220 and fz are most scraped bikes.

I don't think they break. Because they are small. Look at RR, each piece is almost 3 ft tall. When the size increases, rigidity goes down.
Try to bend a 1 Rs Coin. Tough.
Try to bend a steel rod which is of same thickness as a 1Rs Coin and is over 3 feet. Super Easy.

Check this image, Not a CAD guy, but a Visio guy, so image is not perfect.

The first line connecting both wheels is at the wheel center.
The second line, say is the ground clearance line.

in the case of shorter wheel base vehicle, when the vehicle goes into a ditch or pot hole, As the rear is close to front wheel, the vehicle makes a sudden dip. Causing the ground clearance line to touch the ground.
Where as in the case of Long wheel base vehicle, As the wheels are too far away from each other, when one wheel dips, the other is still far away, because of this, the ground clearance line still might not touch the ground.
God, i am not able to express correctly, i hope you got the point.

With regard to the wheel base and hitting bums, the gound clearance is calculated considering the lowest point of the bike, not the swing arm . the only time it will hit is while encountering very hig speed breaker and the motorcycle is fully loaded such a way the rear suspension is almost at its extreme compression. And for your explanation, when one wheel is in deep hole, then if the wheel base shorter, it should have more clearance because for shorter distance the angle connecting the wheel will be greater wrt horizontal since the wheel center is same for all the bikes.
I could able to understand your logic there. May be i am missing something.
Care to explain which bigger item is stronger than similar speced smaller item?

The second line is the ground clearance line. Not the swing arm.
Even if GC is high, if the wheelbase is low, The underbelly touches the ground.
If GC is high, the chances are less. (I am not talking 3 or 4 meters or more. Just considering other high GC bikes).

Lets wait for deliveries to begin in volumes. We will get to know the complete picture and costs involved.

A couple of days back talked to the person who is managing the bookings. His name is Shree. He told me that there are 12 red bookings ahead of me. I am the 13th. And none of the bikes have left from Hosur. They are supposed to leave from Hosur this week. Allotment call will be made if the required number of bikes leave from Hosur. If 13 red bikes leave from Hosur, I will get the call the same day. These will take a week to reach Mumbai post which RTO formalities which will take another week. So far only 3 red deliveries have been made. So nothing concrete at the moment. The earliest I am expecting delivery is Feb end. Though now I am bit finnicky about the quality inspection that would be done at their end cause they would now be operating at more than 100% efficiency due to BMW production and their own as well.

Okay. One more thing. The person who was riding the dominar in the motorbeam video of drag race between RC390, RR310 and dominar, he was the among the 1st buyer of Apache 310 RR on the day the deliveries started. I was there during the time of deliveries. He had the bike to him during review for a whole day. He said there are vibrations but nothing too serious. He was mighty impressed with the bike. If that's some consolation for people wanting the TD. Although not even allowing people to sit on the bike is a little too extreme. We were allowed TD in the dealership compound. Just a small TD which I took after a month of booking the bike.
Hey When did you booked your RR 310 ? what date in month of December ? As the guy who booked red bike on 19th December has already got the delivery for the same here is his delivery video link.
