IMO looks more appealing with the rear fin covered in black unlike in red. Gets rid of the bulk from the rear end.

Yea its true, but the main point is being to highlight the shark fin shaped rear as per TVS.
My opinion would be remove the apache branding ( looks like mod job for such motorcycle) and the bottom belly panel in black colour covers way too high making the red fairing cuts off in the middle ( though they did to match the rear panel design flow). Also some contour design on the front instead of flatish would have been even better.

Wah, finally after months of of delay they have given us a bike worthy of wait. Congrats to TVS team for pulling this off in such a stylish manner, I hope the quality is top notch. This looks quite stunning in red IMO and the pricing is icing on the cake, too sweet to ignore

This is a wonderful packaged bike with some of the best components and should set the sales charts ringing. The only caution is to not screw up on service and spare parts.

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!

The only negative points and nitpickings I find after reading and watching videos,

-The Fuel tank is puny at 11 litres, so Tank Range will be way below 300 kms, before the low fuel lights warn you to fill petrol. Sedate cruising style on highways might extend this to 350 kms I guess.

-From the Official Spec sheet the Max Payload is 130 kgs, so you can only carry a pillion of around 60 kgs if you're 70 kgs. If you're around 90-100 kgs or heavy build you can only pickup kids. Also since the pillion seat is small and due to weight concerns, it's a Rider Only bike. This effectively makes sense for an aftermarket sport tail bag for long rides, adding to its sports tourer character. Which is totally fine with me but not sure about everyone.

Other things no one has talked about so far,

          -On Road, Street Characteristics

-Visibility of the LED headlights in the night

          -Seat Comfort

Waiting to find out about this..

PS: TVS should find a middleground and market it as a Sports Tourer too instead of a Apex Predator-Track Tool.

          Cheers!

And there are some vibrations at around 6k RPM as per powerdrift. Rider seat is also too thin.

Yes but this I reckon is due to brand new motorcycles being thrashed by many media personalities before proper run-in right.

Most commuters in india has similar payload but still we commute with heavy pillion.
I think the max payload refers to the optimum performance but not the failure sort of limit.

                    Akula : 34PS @ 9700 ; 27.3NM@7700
                    G310 : 34PS @ 9500 ; 28NM @7500

I didnt understand why Akula does not make higher figures given that it peaks at higher rpm than G310R.
                    Any Indian norms ?

I wish they launch in a different brand name since apache is connected with commuters and this is a whole different breed.

Eventually they will. TVS is famous for launching apache with multiple colours over the time.
A white would strikingly look Good. Simply reverse the red and white colour in current red paint scheme.
                      The red however is great.

This one seems to be taken from
                      Bmw s1000rr

They've taken some inspiration from the Ducati Supersport S and the BMW S1000RR huh?

If you remove that 310 rr stickers from the bike, no one would say that’s a 300 cc bike

Absolutely. I reckon it will look/feel more bigger in a glossy pearl white paint scheme too. A high quality wrap can solve that I guess.

When I was attending a wedding function in Bangalore few months ago, I spotted one on the Chennai-Bangalore highway. I initially thought it was an imported R6, then when coming close to it while overtaking, my brother reminded me it was the Akula. It has fabulous road presence like a proper middleweight superbike.

looks totally awesome..as repeated by all others here, so much panigale-ish feel in the looks of the red one...instant love looks-wise..

i love the pricing, and it seems on paper almost everything in the spec sheet is neat..my only two (slight) qualms are - 169 kg wet weight a bit too heavy, no ? and, why not a double cylinder engine ? cost/sales concerns the main reason for a single cyl ?

two questions - does anyone know for sure if BMW has played any role in the design of this bike (or its engine) ? and what is TVS selling it as, a sportbike or a sports-tourer ? i apologise if these are already answered in the videos posted in this thread, i am currently travelling and using low bandwidth limited-usage internet, hence not baiting myself to watch vids.

i hope this proves out in the real life..am no fan of TVS yet but if this bike works out as good as it promises on paper, i might even consider chucking future plans of buying the ninja or R3 (mainly cuz double cyl and proven japanese reliability) and just get this hot thing in a few months..several things to check out in the real world by pro reviewers and common riders alike - performance of brakes, tyre grip quality (cornering and braking), vibes at high RPMs, suspension feel, pull at low and mid range, etc etc...

lol i am so excited after coming out my caves..after a long time so excited to see a new bike, mainly cuz it's kinda affordable for me (unlike R3 and ninja in which case the excitement was mainly theoretical).
For now buying a sports tourer aimed at comfort and everyday usability like the Ninja 300, R3 and even CBR300R(very low features/outdated styling if launched) does not make sense below the Rs. 5 lakh segment in India. Only the new upcoming Ninja 400 but that too if you want to indulge expensively and need some good top-end performance and Kawasaki badge(I would suggest the VFM Ninja 650 more than Ninja 400 because of the big money invested).

Reading many test impressions it has become very clear, TVS has nailed the 300cc sport touring segment globally, even though their bit late to the party. They've given their heart and soul to give a VFM all round package to be great in design/comfort/quality/features and it shows. After the Ninja 1000 and Ninja 650 Apache 310RR is the most VFM sports tourer right now!

Apache 310RR is the motorcycle to buy now, if pillion comfort is not too important, and if one is in the fence waiting to see if Yamaha might launch the BS4 R3 or Honda the CBR300R, this is it. This is the sport touring fully faired budget friendly premium motorcycle we were all waiting for.

Wishing TVS for all the success they deserve. Waiting for a test-ride and road test review soon.

                                Cheers!
