Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
I enquired in Ramkay TVS only, and as it is mentioned in the previous posts, they are not being listed in the RR dealers. May be in future. The listed two dealers are located outside the city and i am not sure about their reputation. If we have to do service in the same dealer network then its going to be tough.Originally posted by jazzysaravana View Post

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
Called them both at 10:30 am today. What a difference between Logesh TVS Medavakkam and SBM TVS Ayanavaram.
Only Logesh TVS responded diligently and told me they've just now received brochures. The showroom has already got confirmation of their allotted vehicles and they will receive it by this Friday, then it has to go to Tamil Nadu RTO for authorisation.
The Sales Manager says before Christmas itself, testrides will begin. Also by next Monday we will get to know the On-Road price details.
The booking amount is Rs.5000. They already received around 20 bookings it seems.
SBM told me someone will call me in ten mins, still waiting..
Enclosing the Official Chennai Dealers from Website.
Cheers!

Bit surprised RAMKAY was excluded. Atleast in Jan delivery should begin.Originally posted by jazzysaravana View PostCalled them both at 10:30 am today. What a difference between Logesh TVS Medavakkam and SBM TVS Ayanavaram.

Yes dude, most likely the dealers will expand from Jan/Feb 2018. If Goodwill TVS comes it will be very ideal for me. Let's see.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostBit surprised RAMKAY was excluded. Atleast in Jan delivery should begin.
Just now got a call from an official named Daniel from SBM Motors, Aynavaram. He says Test Rides will begin in three days here. He will callback to intimate on the same. He also added firmly that the Booking Amount of Rs.5000 is non-refundable. Which is a bit puzzling because I'm not sure if has enough info on the same.
Cheers!

Iam not sure they can do that. It must be refundable for proper reasons.Originally posted by jazzysaravana View PostHe also added firmly that the Booking Amount of Rs.5000 is non-refundable.

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
Isnt that the point of a booking? If you cancel a booking after your expected bike has left the plant, then the dealership is essentially carrying an extra order. The 5k is sort of like a penalty. I am sure 310 is not going to be stocked at dealerships and will be on-demand order only bikes.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostIam not sure they can do that. But also they should deliver it in a specified time period. There are many cases where a specific dealer takes lot of time while the product might be available in another showroom. And thats why i mentioned refund is subjective to certain situation.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostIsnt that the point of a booking? True but I think the dealership cannot do anything if the shipment truck doesnt arrive on time. That being said, such delays should be liable to a refund.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostBut also they should deliver it in a specified time period. Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
I stopped by Century TVS [bhandarkar road,Pune] showroom while coming back from office. There was already a group of bikers there. I asked the incharge about 310RR. All the bikers started laughing. All were there for same reason.
Bikes arriving on 25th December. Sale begins 1st January.
Did some editing of the red bike.

Anyone knows when actual deliveries happen??
Waiting to see on our roads. The wait is getting desperate now. Didn’t care prior its launch, but now.... damn TVS.
Did they release any city wise schedule?? Or is it going to be a wait game?? BTW what’s the actual production capacity of TVS factory in Chennai?Last edited by kris123456; 12-11-2017, 11:05 PM.

They do not have a factory in Chennai anymore AFAIK. They shut down their plant in Padi (which now falls under Chennai's city limits).
They have their Plants in Hosur (TN), and Mysore(Karnataka), both these plants are near Bengaluru. (They also have assembly plants in Himachal Pradesh and Indonesia). Their total production is said to be over 3 million per annum. This includes mopeds, scooters, and smaller displacement motorcycles which account for the bulk of TVS' sales.
With these RR 310 motorcycles, the sales are going to be low because it is in the premium segment. It is difficult to guess RR 310 - specific capacity, but I would safely assume anywhere between 10,000 to 20,000 per annum would be a safe bet. Anything more than 20K per annum sales would be a windfall for TVS especially given the fact that in this segment, volumes cannot be expected - at least in India where most people cannot afford a 2.25 L ($3500) motorcycle.
