Moreover, power change might be marginal, but what will be important is that now Stunner will have better throttle response, better fuel economy (very important in its class), better ride quality, no cold start problems (if there were any!). So its a worthy upgrade/addition to the ongoing Stunner. Good stuff from Honda!
How does adding an Fi Unit increase the ride quality? That is related to suspension. Do you mean there won't be any jerky motions from the bike?

Stunner seriously needs a bump in power. Increase in power is welcome. But this is not pathbreaking. European versions already had Fi. Its just that Honda decided India too should get it.

So its going to be between Uni/GS150 and P180/FZ territory OTR?

Exactly, Honda decided to get in to Stunner in India, simple! Isn't it good enough? We are getting one of the best FI systems in the world from one of the top manufacturers? Why does it have to be pathbreaking at all???

Yes, by better ride quality I meant that the throttle response will be smoother with FI hence acceleration should be jerk free giving a feeling of better rideability in different conditions...just like the difference in rideability of RTR FI & carb RTR!

^^!!! 14 K increase for FI! Wow. Even if FI gives 50% increase in fuel consumption (which is impossible), you'll have to ride >20k kms for breaking even!

^^You get a chance to flaunt Honda PGM-Fi at the same cost as that of P180 UG-IV.

Why not a Stunner with Fi while the Glamourous Glamour already has one?

Price is a bit high for a 125!

Just dont get these grease monkeys at HONDA!!!
HONDA, wake up from ur hibernation and please look around. Please look at ur worthy rivals - SUZUKI, YAMAHA, TVS, BAJAJ(in the order as u please!).
And why a 14K increase for Fi when TVS is able to do it for a much lesser cost. And to top it all the kit is not even theirs. Its from DELPHI.

Its a Honda.....and it doesnt need any justification to prices....
They can bring a 97cc bike in 97 colors at 1 lakh and ther would still be people who would "Enjoy Quality".....

The launch is part of the company's strategy to increase its sales in the Indian two-wheeler market.
now lets see how this high priced 125 is going to increase their sales. havnt they heard about their mate HH's Glamour FI? how many does that sell? i have seen just one since it was launched.

These days if any new bike is launched..ppl start listing down its disadvantages/issues...!!

IMO such news threads should be approved and then locked...so that ppl can simply view the new and dont start commenting about it..!!

MG, pls. do something abt this..this is happening in every other thread..!!

You cannot justify additional 14K for plonking an Fi Unit. You and I both know that.

Inder, you are right. People do get crazed up. People support the brands they like. The news was about the bike. People are commenting/criticizing about the bike. But do you think it should be locked for that reason? I think it is a little too harsh.

Providing the only difference between the old stunner and the new is the Fi unit, and the price difference is 14K, my view is it's a little on the higher side. This is no CBR 125.

EDIT:- Stunner is a good looking bike. It does have a super smooth engine too. But I feel it deserves performance to match. Currently, it doesn't.
