For a layman like ME this does not seem to be true, may be because I can't see under the skin and over the skin this does not look to hold if you compare:
- Split handle of RTR and R15: R15's handle has a really bad finishing, you wouldn't want to look at it after RTR's
- Same with FZ's handle, that does not look good neither sturdy
- Paint quality of handle, rims look far behind any other bike in the segment leave alone RTR's

These are all my personal opinion, no offense to anyone and I can't understand a bit inside the bike so for me a bike(so it's quality) is how it looks, feels and behaves. PEACE please.

Yeah, RTR 180 cost OTR 73.5k in Bangalore and P220 is claimed to be around 81k.

Well this varies from city to city,but on average P220 now OTR for Rs.80,000app.(+-1.5k) and RTR180 now OTR for Rs.72,000 (+-1K)

Exactly but maybe wen compared to R15,P220 is a better VFM,
for RTR180.............I beg to differ-Rs.8,000 sometimes means a lot of difference and that is not exactly the same price point.It sometimes even differ segments.Can you understamd if u spend Rs.8000 for fuel or a mobile or a perfo upgrade.......means a LOT.

I dint see 11.1sec anywhere in BI report wid respect to P220.Pls enlighten me on this,who tested it? or is it a company claim?

To me VFM is the product returns exactly whatever you throw at it and has quality to be the best but at a lower price and that includes maintenace.Maybe for most people it is the amount of accessories or parts you get with the standard equipment.

still the p220 FI has very less prob as compared to the RTR FI.....

and you just cant compare BAJAJ and TVS with "YAMAHA"....

here it's between TVS and BAJAJ...
and both of them seem to share the same degree of parts and things....

if YAMAHA will make a bad product delibrately, it'll end up makin it a better product than top of the line models from BAJAJ and TVS....

But what about quality provided by bajaj? remove tank, seat and panels of bajaj and any other bike, and u ill know how bajaj can preovide all at so cheap cost. if avenger and pulsar were made by hero honda oe tvs, i may had gone for avenger rather than RTR. and another thing, bajaj gives performance for masses (who use bike stock for 2-3 years and replace the same). and TVS and YAMAHA is for them, who like to get hands dirty, and go on playing with bike, using tools. And TVS and YAMAHA surely provide it. The engines can take much higher level of upgradation and customization than bajaj.

The P220 seems to have a significant advantage in top speed and braking.
TVS did mention that they wanted a faster accelerating bike rather than one with a higher top end so the top speed difference is fine.
But I would have thought braking on RTR 180 would be better thanks the the larger disc up front and the rear disk brake.
Is this some thing to do with the quality of tires on the two bikes?

So, now have your own verdict The P220 despite being pricer,bigger,more powerful and all
has been solely at par with the RTR performance and in certain cases marginally behind specially in those roll ons and 0-60.These are the things we need most in our day to day riding.

So,RTR clearly merges over Karizma now,edges ahead of P220 and is all at Par with R15 in all round performance.This comes from a simple 180cc bike with no techno wizardry at all.It is definitely the best performance bike when it comes to VFM and practicality.
