For confirmation , acceleration > R15...though the R15 had always been a personal favorite. Compared to the previous 160 Fi and 160 carb, handlings a bit different . New bikers would pull off too many accidental wheelies...damn revvy ...totally love it.
I haven't really checked a topspeed run yet,I only testdrove so far

      Fair enuff, all righty !!
Well, I ride a 250 cc 27 bhp, v-twin !! And wen I rode a friends impeccably maintained R15, I was mighty impressed !! So now I am really intrigued, I'll also try to get a test ride on the RTR and see how it feels !! It'd be really glad if its got the punch !!

Really respect TVS as a manufacturer !!

Edit: Plus with the Ninja making so sign of an appereance, and my itch for a sports bike at an all time high, I might need to decide smting !!

Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

Why am I not impressed in learning that the acceleration is > R15...
Thats the way it has always been... pteew...

What I and am sure a lot of us needs to know is only about that TWO flacks that the bike had 1) The Stock Rubber performance 2) The Vibes (or rather the lack of it)

The rest I can very well imagine

Well I mentioned what I was most impressed with!
Anyway to answer your query the stock tires seemed quite ok,not all that bad. Secondly, the bike we test drove seemed fairly free of vibes! I personally took it to 80,and till then there were no vibes that really bothered me.

No info about the compression ratio as of now as the brochures for the bike aren't out. Only one dealer in Bangalore has the bike itself as of now!

                  Powew Figure confirmation needed

                  Hi Guys,
One of my friend is eager to buy the new RTR 180. Can anyone please confirm, whether the power is 17.3 BHP or 17.3 PS. On the 180RTR site, it's specified as 17.3 BHP and not PS, but all you folks are mentioning it as 17.3 PS. So, am a bit confused.
Your answers will be really helpful. Thanks to all you guys in advance
Have a happy and safe ride .

They say it will take another 2 weeks! Sigh, till then rely on what goes here.... *and silently hope that the first lot gets sold ASAP*

I know that it's faster than the mentioned. But, want to know the exact power figure, cause PS is not equal to BHP

And One more thing , shd i go for this bike now or shd i wait till the 2nd lot??
There are vibes noticed in 6k-7k,With longer wheelbase & bigger rear tire which makes more confident in taking corners even though took a spin for a shorter distance able to make 80-85kmph easly. It's little bit longer stroke & not a screamer like rtr 160/fi but fun to ride it

I have not test ridden it but still I am falling back to RTR FI .. unless more FI issues on Ownership thread force me to take this bike.
But I am planning to have a test ride asap.
