Hope HH have done something good with this bike, other than their regular cosmetic upgrades.

Sometimes I wonder, why can't HH have their own R & D team? I mean with the amount of bikes that they sell, they must have a huge cash reserve at their disposal! It's just a lack of will, I suppose.

What's up with those tyres?? I hope they would've ATLEAST came up with 120.. Sitting Position is same as the current ZMA.. it just looks like a HH product to me.. with same engine and other cosmetic changes(read: boring). I Still LOVE HONDA.. guess they are saving up for their own CBR 150/250.

full marks to bajaj and tvs for kicking HH's lethargic butt into action.

lets see what they come up with. last time they launched the karizma, it was at the top of the charts for how many years while the other manufacturer's played catch up ??? some still are catching up.

in any case, stickering, red paint, "plus" and "pro" jokes aside, lets not write HH's eulogy just yet. they just recorded highest ever quarterly sales, over 1 million bikes. the proof of the pudding is in the eating so to speak, and lots of customers - probably non xbhp members who don't understand the stickering and red paint jokes - are still putting down their money for HH bikes.

just out of curiosity, would these kind of comments or above mentioned jokes have been allowed on the new P220 thread ?? somehow, maybe its just me, i felt the moderation was much stricter and more respectful of others sentiments over at that thread, considering how many times that thread was locked, and how many posts were deleted.

its just that i am trying to understand the atmosphere of the forum. do you need to be careful about brand wars and OT comments just with respect to a particular manufacturer, or is it a general rule ??

personally i like the mood in this thread, where its more relaxed and comments like the above, don't invite people ready to decapitate you.

i am asking just so that i know how to conduct myself in a way that is acceptable on this forum.

Setting up a R&D team from scratch isn't an easy job by any means.. also when you have a international technology gaint like Honda as your partner, setting up one's own R&D would be like reflecting back the rays at the Sun using a mirror.


Coming back to the Spy Pic..

Could well be a Karizma... after all, apart from that "R" Sticker, Yellow Speedometer Console, Plastic Covers on the engine and Red Colored Rear Suspension Springs, there hasn't been a decent upgrade since 2003 (when it first appeared in India).

Could also be something from the HMSI stables.. remember they launched the 125 cc CBF Stunner, didn't they?



Powerful Engine..??

Hopes of a Powerful Engine rise from the sight of the Rear Disc Brake.. but then the Thin looking Rear tyres makes me think twice.

Performance upgrade would be a nice thing.. but then I have heard cries of "Wolf" before so many times.. hope this time its not a false call as usual. But at least looks like this time it won't be just Sticker or Paint Jobs (at least we see the Rear Disc and Gas Filled shocks)

Hope its a good product from HH .......MAN HAVE I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS NEWS !!! good..... finally HH woke up..... As someone already rightly said...their BUTTS are lethargic..!! But its not too late...

With the kind of products HH is coming from the past 2 years or so this is the kind of comments / mood that HH faces in every other thread in xBhp and talking about the other thread i.e the P220 thread we have had some serious fights there which led to the locking of the thread multiple times.

Btw this thread will be locked tomorrow afternoon as the purpose of the thread will be served and no one will have anything substantial to add here.

not exactly the kind of response i was looking for, but i think i got my answer.

Not so long ago (before Auto Expo 2010), bikes from Yamaha India used to be the butt of jokes..
but now with products like R15 and FZ, Yamaha India has come back strongly in India.. Silencing many a loud mouths in the process.. including mine.


From the above analogy, I hope you got the answer clearly this time.
