there is a rule in india for imported cars which says that if u wanna sell max 100 cars , u dont need homogolation. i hope it implies to bikes too.. that way no prob of homogolation n stuff
comin to registration , well if a company supports us (like suzuki for bringin in only hayabusa kits) , i dont think registration will be a prob. also coz we will be bringin in them thru legal channel by payin the required duty , it may work out
i think for ckd kits , its 60%.. so for eg , a busa wud cost around (10999*0.60)+(10999)= 175984*46 = 8 lakhs.. add in shippin charges and it wud cost around 8.5 lakhs , abt a lakh cheaper than what dealers in mumbai charge. BUT , coz we will be importin in the kits and not fully built in units , certain taxes will be deducted from the msrp of the bikes. so it will be around 9700-9800 us$ instead of 10999.. that way landin price includin shippin will be around 7.5 lakhs , a cool 2 lakhs less than wat dealers in mumbai charge!!
so , there r a lot of possibilities provided :
- a company does all this
- an individual is ready to invest in around 70-75 lakhs (for say 10 kits)
