And, is like exclusivity a part of their marketing campaign or they feel that there maybe not enough demand to open multiple dealerships all across the country?
The vibe that I got was that initially they are not setting up manufacturing units. Their aim now is to build the Harley-Davidson image the "Right way". They are planning to bring in CBUs for sure. Those are the vibes that I got.

Exclusivity is not something that was mentionned in that room. What was however mentionned was that for a motorcycle enthusiast, there will be something for everything... as you might have seen in the interview, bikes from 7L onwards. And with time they will have multiple dealerships. Again I have mentioned this in the article. A HD dealership is different as I have said.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

That be good then. Unlike some automobile companies which observe practices like interviewing and credit checking, HD will really be going the democratic way. Although, it can never be a common man's bike but it surely isn't an exclusive to politicians, bollywood blaa blaa comodity.

Did you get anymore information on the financing plans?

Personally, I am not interested in HD but it always helps to stay informed. I hope you don't get me wrong. Thanks for the reply.

7L onwards is very attractive and with a brand name like HD there sure are going to be more takers in this price bracket. HD has got my attention completely and am watching this space more closely now

thanks ken da.. the wait was sure worth.

I am not getting you wrong but it sure looks like you have not read the interview article. I have covered quite a few important aspects of HD's arrival in India. What is considered a good dealer, finance, roads, specs alteration etc...

You want to be informed, read the article.

          • Iron 883

Now that the harleys are here I just want to say that I will wait as much as I have to and save as long as I need to until they bring the IRON 883 --- I am in love with it and until recently was planning to buy a bullet and get it modded to look like the iron 883. you can see an image here http://image.motorcyclecruiser.com/f...right_view.jpg
