I personally do not like the veyron, it is not a sports car or a super car, it is more of a touring car.
With a quad turbo 16000cc w12 all it makes is 1000 bhp ?
the Veyron has a 8000c engine not 16k

the veyron is highly acclaimed not for its figures(16cyl, 1000bhp, etc) but for the way it all comes together, how its so usable, how sanely it handles, etc. so the CCX and the veyron are different car. I would have both of them in my garage, thank you

"Bentley Motors is planning to launch its new flagship model Mulsanne in India by 2011. The company has not revealed a confirmed launch date of the model but the production of the new model will start in the UK next year. The car will be imported as completely built unit and will attract 100 percent import duty. The car will be powered by a 6.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 512 horsepower and 1,020Nm of torque and will cost around Rs 1.5 crore in the UK when it finally hits the market. Thus, when the car finally arrives in India it will carry a price tag of nearly Rs. 3- 3.5 crores.
The super luxury Bentley Mulsanne will be completely handcrafted according to the customers' wishes and will go on sale in the US and Europe by mid-2010.

well amid all these phone number figures and triple digits I wud like to say that SSC AERO Ultimate is the fastest car now.............and its affordable too in comparison to the Bugatti.SSC is Super Shelby Cars.......now American cars has always been about being big and fast if not manageable, thats what SSC is........not only one example of this type but also the fact that every American Ubercar is of this type as for the records.......the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo also does some good numbers and crosses 400kmph,but again its not good at anything else.Bugatti Veyrons are cars that you can take to a elegant party as well as the racetrack and you wont be let down anywhere......it gels in both, its a different thing that many cannot afford it.Koenigseggs are also good, but I dont go by manufacture claimed figures, they run the tests under roads which are smooth as a beautifully maintained girl's skin.I always hold the truly on road figures......where CCXR is truly around 380kmph at its best.

Listen / view the Topgear video to the full extent. James may (captain slow) quotes that fuel will last about 12 minutes in full speed while tyres can last for 15 min.

There are many cars around the 400km speed but what distinguishes the veyron from the others is, Veyron has cruise control, leather, Air conditioning, stereo etc...that is it. All other cars in this segment are just bare bones.

This is a car for collectors / millionaires.
