its actually a good news for the p200 lovers...i however am waiting eagerly for a 250 cc+ segments...be it a pulsar or yamaha or fazer....
yes it is.......i read in an article somewhere that there are 3-4 250cc bikes from different companies coming soon...........will post the link if i find it again......
I just hope the reduction in weight has helped up its performance.

@Bandhav: Thanks for clearing everything up! Looks like a good enough upgrade from my current P200. But, I am really disappointing that the projector lamp would be missing.
What is more important than putting the Projector lights is giving 55 watt rated lighting.
It is the 55 watt high beam on the P220 DTS-Fi/DTS-i which is responsible for its dazzling illumination.. and incidentally the high beam is actually "non-projector" type.
The projector light on the P220 DTS-Fi/DTS-i is the "Low Beam". But yes, projectors can spruce up the looks of the headlamp assembly. But then it would hike up the cost. Hope that the headlamp get 55 watt bulbs.
The Avenger, Ninja 250R and Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi/DTS-i come with 55 watt headlamps.
I may be wrong too..coz i was also not sure of this info but i remember reading same piece of info some time back on some article..but cant recollect the source now..

Its probably an "Biking Urban Legend".
Brighter (55 watt) headlamps are definitely a more effective safety feature than a poorly lit headlamp.
This new P220 will be mechnically same as the current P220 minus the fairing, there wont be no projecter headlamps.
And to rest all the speculation to end here is the pic of original thing, and the on road Delhi Price of bike is 72865 which almost 3 k less than the F version.
The only visual differentiator from the P180 UGIV then would be the..
Might be dissappointing for a few, but at 3K less than the current P220 DTS-i means even better value for money proposition.
Also without the Half fairing, I see a few kilos of dead weight being shaved off. A new "little bit of Faster" than the Fastest Indian..??
