Part I
There was a small town called India. Four Goondas, Mssrs. Handa, Banga, TTS(Trilochan T Singh) and Yamhia Khan, used to trade in the business of all sorts of spurious articles, mainly, Bhaang, Bidis, surious liquor (hereinafter referred to as small things).
A dedicated client group was there who were brought up on the staple diet of these small things. A small fraction of really bad characters (sheelpriye, undergroundrider, viv.nomand, technician included – the list is indicative not exhaustive) were fed up of the small things and wanted something more exotic like Ganja, if not Heroine. They approach the Gangsters to make things available at reasonable price. The lesser evils of the group continue enjoying whatever was being provided to them with more colours, scent and taste.
There is one Inspector in the town who controls everything including the activities of Goondaas beyond a limit.
Part II
Mr. Handa sets the trend of the business and feels it is better to continue in the trade of small things as this would keep the vision of his customers clouded and the avenues for his competitors (Mr. Banga and Mr. TTS) limited. Mr. Banga and Mr. TTS and foolishly follow the suit and decide to continue what they are doing – to provide small things in flashing packing with discounts alongwith arrangement for loans for needy customers.
Here, they loose an opportunity (in 2000 AD) to start a new business line by providing Ganja to really bad characters and in time creating a substantial group of customers used to Ganja, and also becoming a regional supplier of the substance in future. There has to be a starting point. They loose an opportunity. Really bad characters are left in the lurch.
Part III
An MNC sets up a plant in the vicinity of the town. Many employees come from all the places. Some locals also get employment. They are the neo-rich in the small dusty town.
Mr. Handa senses a business opportunity and starts providing all sorts of highest-end things like Heroine, LSD, Energy Tablets – whatever – but at exorbitant price. Yamhia Khan, Banga and others follow the suit by tying up with the suppliers of such things in other regions. Really bad characters are unable to join the party as they are not wealthy enough to enter the club. They again approach Goondas that since a beginning has been made, their request might also be given a hearing and something should be done for them also. Mr. Handa decides to grant their wish but decides to continue studying the market and wait for right opportunity. Mr. Banga and Mr. TTS has no vision to embark on a venture to cater to this now-substantial group of Really bad characters. Really bad characters are again left in the lurch.
Part IV
The smaller player, Yamhia Khan, who is fed up with the pace of his activities, suddenly decides to change the rule of the game and decides to provide Afeem in town for a handsome amount of profit. The lesser evils become mad on their new-found in-thing. Afeem might give a high to lesser evils but is not of much amusement for really bad characters (in comparison of small things)as the blood in their veins is poisoned to the limit with life long abuse of substances.
But soon, Yamhia khan returns to the business of small things alongwith small dispatches of Afeem. Really bad characters are again left in the lurch.
PART V
After all these years, a vague signal has been given. The wish is likely to be granted now. Everyone is ecstatic. Hum honge Kamyaaaaab. Feelings like that. Lesser evils start weeping because of over-joy.
This takes Mr. Banga and Mr. TTS by surprise. They have no immediate counter-action for this. Mr. Banga runs to a distant supplier of Ganja and Heroinein another town, namely, Khatoon Singh, to make things possible. Mr. TTS does not know what to do.
Lesser evils ask really bad characters that they should be happy and content now since it is going to be D-Day soon (in 1-2-3-… years). But many of the really bad characters are not happy, because they are tired due to continuous waiting, aged and physically not so fit, to enjoy the fruits of Ganja-party, leave alone Heroine-bash. Those elements of ‘Really bad characters’ are decided to be left in the lurch.
PART VI
In 1-2-3-… years from now, Ganja starts becoming available. But there is a catch. It is learnt that Ganja is actually coming from some other region with packaging, etc. done in the town while keeping the taste and scent sensibilities of the people of the town in mind. It is also a little bit overpriced.
Mr. Banga somehow arranges a supply chain of Ganja also. But he is still not a major player of Ganja in town. Ganja is sold by Mr. Banga but he still does not know the intricacies of making Ganja first hand. New suppliers from other region like Subudhi Kumar, etc. have also joined the party. Mr. TTS continue to sell small things.
Mr. Banga and Mr. TTS could not think out-of-the-box at the right time and are now still trying to catch up and avoid rejection.
Some newer elements of really bad characters are able to lay their hands on Ganja while some others are still left in the lurch.
Crux of the Matter: (i) left-over elements of really bad characters are at the greatest disadvantage. (ii) Mr. Banga and Mr. TTS never learn the important things. (iii) Client group is at the mercy of Mr. Handa. (iv) Mr. Inspector is in complete collusion of these Goondaas.
PS - Why so serious?
