"light on hai!!! " they love to show you in action too.
even the cops want to know why the superbikes have no on/off switch.
i know of a fellow sbk friend who was fined for riding with the headlights on.
in india it is better to ride defensively.
will it make a difference to the dogs and cattle and other animals who crisscross our roads at all times??????
    dreams come true..

It is a good move.. I never felt this, but think it will definitely gonna help..
Please use all possible safety measures while riding and remember others also riding on the same road...

We were stopped by police two times coz of the lights. While Touring, once in Gujarat & once in Karnataka, for brief interrogations.

in some Scandinavian countries where the weather is usually dark and gloomy, for better visibility the car/motorcycles had their beams on in 'low beam' mode,

            I stick to low beam

One of the best rules to implement

Usually on the highway I keep my headlight on ( Low beam ) ...There are advantages like the opp side drivers are alerted, village people notice you coming from a distance even though few care to stop until they are half way there and when you are riding in groups, it helps me to locate the fellow rider from a distance and same applies for the rider in front during day ..... But I keep coming across people who would tell you that the light is on ... including the traffic police themselves

If this rule comes into existence then the lines in bold wont work out

                  good initiative

By default, the lights are always on in my Bike..
no switch to put it off is provided..
But come across loads of guys on the roads who remind me to switch the headlight off.
some people on signals in fact pester n remind u also
so have to tell them, this is the way i want it to be

                    ^^
Thats the irritating part.. but what I do is nod / give a thumbs-up to them as if to tell them i know its on.. and i want it to be that way. In the city, it gets too irritating, so i turn 'em off sometimes. But on highways... the headlamp ON is a constant feature no matter what.

So, actually, the rule should first be enfrced on the highways.. then brought inside cities.

Now manufacturers can do cost cutting by removing headlight ON/OFF switch and those parking lights also will be waste

It is not a common phenomenon. It is mandatory to have the lights on at all times in all developped countries on motorcycles.

There is no separate light switch in any of the bikes!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

In cities like B'lore switching ON the headlight in day time seems to be no effect and as per my experience its useless , most of the time it will slow moving and more over there is no place in cities where u can't be very alert.

I switch on the headlight only if its raining [even if its drizzling] inside cities

But in Highways i always put my bikes headlight no matter wt....
