Absolutely! it can really stir up a chain of events and would wither die out, or make a new statement for Bajaj!Originally posted by payeng View PostFinally a KTM made in India..!!

What if Motorsports catches on! It all depends on their marketing strategies!Originally posted by payeng View PostBut would guys already riding 17-20 Ps bikes prefer them?

+1 even if the bike kicks in 17-20PS power, the KTM dna would\should\could ensure that a lot of that torque comes low in the RPM.
That would be a crazy tool to Super-commute!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

but how will it make 17-20 ps, when its meant for The Car Driver/bike Learner License in Europe?Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Post+1 even if the bike kicks in 17-20PS power, the KTM dna would\should\could ensure that a lot of that torque comes low in the RPM.
That would be a crazy tool to Super-commute!
They have the 15 bhp limit there...
Like others, even I wonder how these 2 bikes will survive competition?
Also, I dont think a KTM can change nature's rules..
You cant get torque at all rpm's. Even R125 aint good at midrange as journalists say.
I expect these 2 machines to be 15 ps, but with a slightly acceleration baised 6 speed gearbox & low weight...---

Now that's interesting. If they have a restriction of power output in EU then it will be even more interesting if they tinker with the engine in India or not considering the price band which it will fall in. Hope they have proper startegy in place if they want to rake in decent numbers.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Postbut how will it make 17-20 ps, when its meant for The Car Driver/bike Learner License in Europe?

But if they don't the bike will find takers only for the novelty value, nothing else.

I gave 17-19 Ps as an example to what Payeng quoted.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Postbut how will it make 17-20 ps, when its meant for The Car Driver/bike Learner License in Europe?

I never said torque at all RPMs, I meant crazy torque at a very low RPM range, which is VERY likely for a KTM!
15 BHP on a light weight bike would be insane!Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostNow that's interesting. I doubt they would ever tinker with the machine!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Let us not compare a KTM to a Ninja but Bajaj has always been very clever with their pricing & positioning to generate good sales figures. Let us just wait and see.Originally posted by viny View PostDont know why but i have this feel that KTM will see south, it cannot do similar to what NINJA did///

Well it would be insane considering our own current crop of 125cc bike or for that matter 15PS bikes.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Post15 BHP on a light weight bike would be insane!
I doubt they would ever tinker with the machine!
But will that be enough keeping the competition in mind(read
rice wise).

122kgs..
320mm front and 220 mm rear disc
