True, but the accidents will also be of a greater margin. Imagine a poser on a 8bhp bike and a poser on a 128bhp bike.

A 128bhp, unguided missile is a potential disaster for other road users. People won't even know what hit them! And our Bharat Sarkar will bring out even more excellent road rules to curb accidents (which may or may not work).

Having said that, I still think we are getting raw deals. An equilibrium needs to be struck, and I'm praying that Kawasaki can achieve it (my last post) at 6-7lacs.
    You get the point?? :D

      [N00b Alert!]

Well, this is just lovely ain't it? Its real sweet, priced as well as could be (cheapest 'big' bike in India, so far), and is a friggin legend. But it's still out of the reach for me.

Point well taken about the responsibility that comes with all this power, but you really can't deter kids with rich daddies and hardly any skills from going for these monsters. Posers will continue doing what they do.

What I am getting at is that they could go through the CKD route to get the price down and get it in the reach of enthusiasts who won't / can't go for these exotics just coz of the price tags.

Like Kawi and Bajaj, Suzie boys could tie up with TVS again and get a network of special service points and sufficient spares etc arranged, just like the arrangement for 250R. Agreed that Kawasaki were not sure of the demand for 250's in the market, but you can see how many ninja's are on the road today. The gap in price slabs for bikes available legally in India is huge in the 3L to 10L space. There is a plethora of good sub-litre class bikes out there by loads of renowned manufacturers, which would be perhaps more practical (as in how much you can get out of the bike in Indian conditions on a regular basis.. I mean where are you really going to use the near 300 k's top end of busas and gixxes regularly? Don't you have jobs to hold :P) for the Indian conditions.. why not give the opportunity to the people to play around with those

'Nuf rambling.. bottomline: love it, but can't afford it right now, wish they would consider the CKD route

After such a +ve response, I reckon they would consider getting 250R's bigger cousins in here through CKD.

          Hope that wasn't very OT

Suzuki has its own retail outlets and state of art huge service centres..........so no need to tie up with Indian companies with lowest servicing reputations.

Next,I still think the Hayabusa with all its cost is still the best Suzuki to buy....its an all rounder:
1.Show it the long road,it tours in comfy.
2.Show it the track,it too excels, makes up with the additional power where it fails in handling.

Both GSXR1000 and Bandit are focused products.........not the all rounder one would like.
1.GSXR1000-more of a road bike rather than a track bike......but that tag is for pros, not ordinary customers. For commoners it is still the high revving, peaky and focused bike with racy riding posture.
2.Bandit-sit on it and enjoy the ride, would seem clumsy if it ever hits the track, bringing in lap times slower than a focused 600 or 250 for that matter.Though most people in India would like this only for its lower price and they dont need to go on tracks.
