What goes up.. comes down too.. Its the law of Nature. Gravity. Nothing is invincible.

Nokia once upon a time was a gravity defying player.. but now look at the condition of Nokia. They have been posponing the launch of several devices.. because none of their handset is Value for money anymore.

Look at Apple.. what it was and what it is.. In 1997 Michal Dell had commented on Steve Jobs that.. he should shut the company and refund the money of investers. Today Dell is mere $27 billion.. and Apple is $287 Billion.. F*king more than 10 times.. of the size of Dell. And dell is having a hard time.

Bottomline - What goes up.. comes down too.

Nokia came down only coz they stopped the production of their Splendors & Passions...
And HH has no such plans, but Yes i do agree with, "What goes up, Comes down."

                The Title is misleading

The Title is misleading. Hero Honda has clocked more than "3 lakh monthly" sales for 18'th time.

Hero Honda has been number one since when? I think since 2001. That will make it around 9 years.. so (9 x 12) it will be way more than 18 months of leadership.

Hero Honda had the right products (Splendor & Passion) at the right time, at the right price, delivering "right" fuel efficiency & reliability.
Plus the brand name that it has built over the years reassures the customers every time they opt for these products.

At one point it almost seemed that the Splendor/Passion duo were invincible. But like "iron cuts iron", only a strong brand could challenge the very strong brand like Splendor/Passion. The "Discover" has been proving just this for almost a year now.

Having said that, till the "aam janata" fancies the 100 cc bikes, it would require some special effort to dethrone Hero Honda from its no.1 pedestal.

But like inflammable said, "What goes up.. comes down too".

I beg to differ.. Nokia didnt stop making Passion's & Splendours.. Instead they have been too much dependent on their Brand name.. and didnt innovate and come out with new stuff... which can click new generation.

Just try comparing user interface of Android with Any Nokia device.. Nokia devices are soooooo boring.. and plain jane. Touch screen devices cant stand to Samsung and HTC products.

The story of Hero Honda is going the same way.

Arre you got me all wrong, Alok.
I mean to say that NOKIA stopped selling their fastest selling items like that old dabba model & 1100s (their splendors & passions) & so on and hence their FALL.

I totally agree that Nokia's are damn slow & boring when compared to even Samsungs & HTCs.

Just as Inder said it :

P.S - Nokia ki kya jali hogi... when apple recently sold 17 Lakh iphone 4... in just 3 days..
