But, an Expo like this NEEDS to be experienced "live"! There is NO-WAY in world you can experience an Auto Expo sitting at the comfort of a room, staring at the photographs on a computer monitor.

I thought Apache would give close fight to Pulsars considering it looks and performance, when it was launched. But down the line, it somehow got its leg tied up (or its tires !) and now resting in Pulsar shadow. I wouldn't want to compare them or bring up Pulsar Vs apache fights (again !). Mono shocks, well deserved chassis would have eliminated most of its niggles and its competitors would be running for their money now.

Absolutely!! I feel this almost all the India bike manufacturers..... somehow they always pull their hands at the very last moment which denies their products from getting that perfect machine status!!

For example say, take current Apache RTR series.... Amazing Brakes (well the only Indian bike currently available with Petal Discs), Amazing Handling, Amazing Performance figures, but what pulls it back are the Vibration levels of the bike.

Common, complement the bike with the Suspension and Chasis it deservs and with Proper Engine Upgradation and Refinements, Apaches would definitely be a awesome range!!

why not have segments-160 and 250 that's it, jump in the 20cc's and 1.5ps gives nothing and still they invest bucks in the R&D to improvise on the "new" bikes having just 20cc's more and them brim it with gizmo's klike ABS and all....

please guys launch a proper "bike" with 250 cc's and load it up with your ABS,MONOSHOCK,LIQUID COOLING and stop imitating the segments created by BAJAJ...

what these manufacturers end with, launching 4 bikes with same shape seperated by 20cc's and broad tyres....(BAJAJ pulsar series, RTR 160,180)

bump the flame to 150CC -160CC its another product altogether! chuck the 200, head for 220+ and you have a winner in your hand!

and please, please, please... we need a good chassis before ABS!

Hmmm..... I see you missed the whole point there.....!! It's not about the what an individual pays to enjoy the benefits of this forum.... it's the whole work that goes behind maintaining this forum and make it the sucess that this forum..... so, I won't get off topic here, but yeah... I would again like to emphasis my point that .... instead of resorting to verbal off topic exchange we should respect the wonderfull privilege this forum offers and stick to a discussion this thread is up for!!

And for your "Recent Aquired Passion for Bikes" comment.... well bro .... thoughts are one thing sleakest occurence of Human Nature and we should be very carefull as to how to express our thoughts in words and not to hurt anybody!! So, brother let's not resort to such statements and unnecerarily create OT posts.

Secondly did i ever say R15 isn't a learners bike....yes you are right "both" are learner's bike. In fact the point which i wanted to make was ..let me rephrase" IF YOU WANT AN UPGRADE WAIT FOR A BETTER OPTION NINJA 250 ISN't WORTH IT"... Do you understand this time arround??

And what do you mean by "Indian context". Do you think Indians deserve substandard products?? We are the largest consumer of bikes in the world...our Super bike sale figures are so impressive that we are the HOT bed for their market now. People over here have the capacity and the mentality to pay 2 times the price to get these niche products.....If you think contrary..Go back to your cave.

Your statement "just so u know yamaha is known to make much better bikes overall but they aren't half as hardcore bikes as kwackers barring maybe the 98 and 99 r1" Just wanna say HAHAhahahahahahahaha...

"T135"...YES!!!! you are wrong..Are you aware of the engine specs even??? R15 is generations ahead of T135...Even if you would have said Yamaha Vixion i would have understood..It's as much derived from T135 as ZMR engine from splendor's...Hmmm bikes are derived from bicycles huh?? true but irrelevant.

I am not being loyal to Yamaha; just saying that they have a better offering right now....Kapeesh ??

    PEACE OUT
Well this thread is about the Yamaha Stand at the Auto Expo 2010, and not about comparo and subsequent High Flying English War Zone....it would be very helpfull if the readers could share their experiences and thought about the Yamaha Stand and the Bikes "Over There". Space is very precious and let's not waist it!!

And atleast like the r15 the ninja doesn't get unnerved with the slightest hint of crosswinds. M sure you are also aware that the performance oriented r15 is derived from T135 which is a step thru which is used to ferry kids from school and buy fish from the nearest market. Correct me if am wrong. stop being a fanboy, like a bike for its abilities not the brand. just so u know yamaha is known to make much better bikes overall but they aren't half as hardcore bikes as kwackers barring maybe the 98 and 99 r1.

I noe r15 gives a much better bang for the buck vis-a-vis the nijette but doesn't the same equation make the 220 the best bike on the roads. had the r15 not come we still would have been stuck with the wonderful pulsars and apaches which we sooo love, don't we?

i don't mean to have an argument just disgusted by illogical brand loyalty. PEACE
