Are you sure?By looking the rear tyres size & the lack of kick starter it looks like to be a 150 CC(cheaper then FZ)

            • As one of the threads here mentioned, Yamaha would be launching a 150cc commuter bike to compete with the likes of Unicorn, CBZ-X etc. I guess this is it. A no frills 150cc commuter which looks good enough&does its job well on commuting. I find it has twin shocks in the rear, no gas suspension. At a price tag of around 65-70K, I find this to be good enough for 150cc commuters.
              Quench my thirst with gasoline!

                Royal Enfield Thunderbird : 2005 - SOLD

                  • hey guys, in the official press release few weeks back, they had mentioned that Yam would launch a new CBU in the auto expo along with the 2010 R1. So which one is it ? FZ1n itself or are they waiting for Rossi to inaugurate ?

                    • the SZ looks more in line with 125 cc segment. There already are 150 cc bikes in the form of FZ and Fazer so i guess Yamaha will suerly go in for a new 125 cc bike against the Twister / pulsar lite. The engine looks like an easy 125 cc.

There was also a ybr concept which as per my guess would be a 100 cc bike pitted against the jive attaching a pic found in **********.in.. note the kick started and drum brakes...a mass commuter bike is on the cards.

Like the FZ this one (SZ) too doesn't have a kick starter.

It's a FI!! If that's the bike, it can't be a cheaper offering of FZ. Can it be a 125 with super efficiency?

                          • Well if that bike is a 150CC then lack of disc brakes is shocking,i am very confused as if we look bt the tyres & lack of kick starter then the first thought which comes in mind is that the bike is a 150CC but if lack of disc brake is considered then the thought of it being a 100/125 CC bike arises.I think Yamaha is just taking a feedback of the bike & may decide it later whether to launch it as a 150 CC or as a 100/125 CC.Whatever they do but one thing is for sure Yamaha do needs another 150CC which is cheaper then FZ & also suits to commuters taste if they want to achieve their target of 25% market share in premium segment
