Similar thoughts running here. Of cancelling the visit. Anyways, maybe I'll go...

Yamaha addresses Honda with the SZ?! Copying and addressing each other?! Why can't they address customers' needs?

I mean Fcuk its been 2 years waiting and waiting for a decent performer under 5 Lacs, and I can't get one in my city!
What the hell were doing these 2 years? Painting R15's and Fz's in MS Paint???

This was the only manufacturer I had expectation from. Yaa-maa-haa ... huh!

        • Looks promising. They did more work than Yamaha it seems...

I like The Unicorn Concept, but those Alternating stripes... They were on my bike since 2 years, and my original idea!
I guess, no design can remain unique... I'll have to think of a new idea now.

The engine block of the SZ concept reminds one of the 153 cc FZ.. even the side panels and the kink on top of the tank seems to be inspired by the 153 cc FZ..

The engine looks bulky for a 100-110 cc, but the lack of a front disc brake hints at a sub 125 cc (100-110 cc) engine capacity.. and if its really a production ready 100-110 cc concept, then the CB Twister has got some serious competition.

This one looks much better than the CB Twister to me.

They are trying exactly that... trying to address to the large chunk of our desi bikers.. i.e the sub 150 cc category.

The Best 250 cc, Inline Twin in the world- the Ninja 250R, is already available on sale in the country and that too at its international price tag (we don't have to pay 100% duty on it). Overtaking it, and that too with a better price tag will be a very very difficult feat.

              • Final verdict for me-
Till now Auto Expo 2010 is a great dissappointment in term's of Two Wheeler segment!

As far as new unicorn is concerned then finally Unicorn cocept is out providing it a much-much needed facelift. Colour's and styling is new, simplified and elegent, though its not path breaking. As far as rear disc is concerned I dont find this much hyped rear disc brake so much useful in this segment. Any 150cc can easily survive without the disc at rear especially when you're looking to some cost cutting measure's.

                    • Guys, only 3 questions more:-->

                      1. Do they have Parking facility near Pragati Maidan, at walking distance? I think there should be... Just confirming.

                      2. Can't we make it a bit earlier than 5 PM? I mean, it would be night time by the time we reach and we can't get much time to chat...

                      3. I hope we can ride together, because I don't know where Xbhp Dhaba is. But, I know Pragati Maidan and I'll be there...

                          • @Samarth: To answer your queries:

                            1. Yes, there is parking available for Pragati Maidan visitors, but even today (Media Launch Day), the parking was almost choked when I reached there, at around 8:30am! Moreover, 9th January, 2010 being a weekend, expect NO place at all for parking at several parking spots around Pragati Maidan. Parking is a HUGE issue everywhere, it seems, these days!

                            2. Timings have been decided, i.e., 5pm, infront of Gate No.7. Now, please do not start this useless discussion about the timings. It has been decided keeping in mind several points.

                            3. Just be at the prescribed meet point at the specified time, and everything would be just fine.

                            Thanks,
                            -Aryan

                              • @ Payeng: I understand but unfortunately, there's no Probiking in my city.
So, on asking they (Anjita Bajaj) have refused to serve me a Ninja 250, as serving Probiking bikes to customers didn't work out fine for them..

That's why I said "I can't get one in my city". I can't even get Ninja 250... Even If I get from Jaipur, Who will service it?

Forget it guys, on my birthday (9 Mar), I'll just get a R15 and try to be happy...
