  • I must say it was a very nice show put up by xBhp.
The stall was really nice and catchy. During the short time I was there, It was really nice to see people's response for our stall.

Kudos to all the people who made this happen.
I think it is the presence of such dedicated members that make xbhp what it is.

    Congratulations and Bravo!!

I had clicked some pics of the Expo!!
Will post them in the relevant thread soon!!

      • So getting over the EXPO fever and I decide to pen down..errr...type down my experience of this year's AUTO EXPO.

Me,scilentkiller and mostwanted have already decided that we would be visiting on 9th Jan. But we were apprehensive whether we should ride to Pragati Maidan or use Delhi Metro.

On 8th Jan's night, me and scilentkiller decided to use our 125cc respectively(XCD and Gladiator respectively) and mostwanted will accompanied by his young brother. But he was not sure of the parking space so he parked his FZ150 at one of the metro stations and then used DMRC's ride.

        The D Day:
I woke up at 5am , may be because of the excitement and also the mega G2G after that (but that's a different story). Me and scilentkiller entered from Gate 2 (10:35am) and mostwanted and his bro from Gate 7. We decided to meet at Maruti's Hall.
As me and scilentkiller were going towards the hall we met Bandhav Sir on way. Greeted each other and moved to our respective directions.

        Pics here:

I would be describing my experience with the two-wheelers more for obvious reasons.

        VARDENCHI CUSTOMS:
A chopper designed by Vardenchi Customs caught my attention. I was astounded to see that a Bullet can also look like this. I was always their fan and their creativity.

I was loving the less crowded stalls at that time and this feeling didn't last long as people started coming.

        SUZUKI:
As I was looking to all Wagons and A-Stars, my eyes fell on a White Shining beauty. It was THE HAYABUSA with a sweet model smiling for every camera, but I was more interested on praising the beauty of the 1300cc Beast.
I was still thinking of that when I came across another White beauty (smaller version though) the GSX-R 600. This was the first time I encountered a Gixxer and just fell for her. I enquired about her to the suzuki person standing just next to her. I am sure whenever it would be launched I am going to ride it.

After that we visited the CHEVROLET....took a long time there. Reason- THE CAMARO

        TVS:
I was waiting for this stall as it had my love, after all I am an APACHE fan. Saw the HAMMERHEAD concept and thought that concepts are not for India. As I turned back my love was there on the podium but this time it had ABS with it. I inquired about its launch to the TVS guy and he knew nothing.
Just then our own TVS guy, Manan Bhai came to my rescue. He was there to meet Sidhartha from TVS regarding 180(ABS) and other things. We chatted for a long time and I was drooling over 180 RTR. Its the time when I fell for a model too (Yaar seriously)...still cant get over her smile when she was sitting on 180 RTR.(Haye!!!)
Now back to the topic: Left Manan Bhai there to discuss with TVS guys. And loved the Apache 160 racing. I wish my ride had that much BHP.

        YAMAHA:
If RTR 180 is my Indian love then R1 is my Japanese love. I really got frustrated looking at the way the crowd was behaving there. And Yamaha played safe by not bringing any female models with the bikes otherwise it would have been.....
Asked about ROSSI's arrival. And they told that he would be there by 4p.m. I thought of coming back at 4 only if the crowd allowed me to.
R15s new White and Red paint scheme was OK types but it made it more skinny.
Anyways it was nice to see R1, Diversion F, Vmax, Racing kits all at one place.

        HERO HONDA:
Nothing to write as it had nothing. Just a transparent ZMR showing its engine and an upside down hanging ZMR.

        BIKE INDIA:
Bunny Punia was there explaining about the subscriptions. Thought of meeting him but backed out. This stall had a Ducati Street fighter,Audi TT, Golden Busa and a R1. WOW

        HARLEY DAVIDSON:
Out of all the stalls this hall had its own crowd. People who were fans of american choppers and this legendary name.
The good part was that these would be available in the range of 6.50 lacs to 14 lacs...Not to forget the other high end models.
They had every model there. Be it SPORTSTER,CVO or V-ROD.

        MAHINDRA:

I was there to ask how a 125cc bike can have 50bhp and can touch 245kmph. I wont believe this until I see it with my own eyes.

In the mean time I went to our very own xBHp stall to meet my friends. Ravi Bhai, Roger Sir, Kunjal, Sikhbiker, Sava and other were there. To educate people the "meaning" of SAFE riding.
I must say,its been 3 months that I am regular with xBhp and I also try to educate riders about helmets, riding gears. I got all this from xBhp,our senior and my fellow members.
        KUDOS
        Our XBhp Stall:

        BAJAJ:
Our very own Bandhav sir was there to greet us. Riding bajaj bike and visiting its stall...felt good. The Black Ninja250 and the KTMs were standing out in the crowd.

        HONDA:
Another big brand name and here too the crowd was like....don't want to use those words.
I asked the guy(with oriental feature) about the FireBlade and he was looking at me with an expression which said-"How come he knows about ABS and C-ABS!!"
Even the VFR1200 was looking magnificent in red.
The CB Twister and Unicorn Concept are going to give a competition to its counterparts.

I was eager to go to dhabha for mega G2G but I the salt of the yummy Parathas would have landed me in hospital. High B.P...Sorry again guys.

So that was the end of Auto Expo 2010
It was much hyped but for two-wheeler enthusiasts it didnt match up to the expectation. But overall it was nice and good experience.

Now again we have to wait for a couple of year to be there,do this again.

Ken you were there and you witnessed the disappointment in all of us.. including John Abraham.. he was disgusted too by the behavior of the press...
Yes, I know that this unfortunate incident happened because of an illiterate press who had little idea of who Rossi is or what he means to genuine followers of motorcycling.

The manufacturers are right in thinking whatever they are thinking. However, we will discuss this later in the relevant section when the time comes. For the moment let us exalt in the thought that the great man was here and graced our country with his presence!
