re: AE14: Hero Moto Corp Updates from Auto Expo 2014

Innovative and really promising... You know what, I think Indian companies will take the game up to the middleweights if they can keep up proactive development and strong partnerships.

I also happen to think Indian bike designers got really inspired by 'Transformers' ... we've got heads, eyes, eye brows, noses and what not going on inside our new designs.

Thrilled to see Hero's foray into the 600cc zone... With Bajaj and Hero upping the ante... i'm smiling my face off...

Hastur, SimplEcity and Ion... Kudos to Hero for a splendid job. Now is the worst part... the WAIT for these bikes to be launched...

Just in case if anyone noticed, i do not see indicators (front/rear) on hastur??

Pls don't miss to notice the riding stance. Backward seat, low short handlebars and front placed foot rest! Beat that

Drunk? It's not a bike. Cafe racer is just like another form of styling. There is a link provided which takes you to Wikipedia in some thread here at xbhp. Go through it. No one has patented it or anything. And what do you mean by the bold part? If RE could not do then hero too cant? LOL!! RE is not some god company that you compare the way you just did. And avoid posting such ill-logical stuffs. RE is RE and hero is hero. There are no limits bound to any company. BTW, splendor is in market for quite some time and they have taken a step forward to re-design it.
Frankly speaking, i too kinda hate the design of the bike but then, there may be people to whom this might be fitting perfectly. And hero, as big a company it is, would certainly have thought out the chances well and reasons for bringing out the design. They ain't mad to spend cash on worthless designs.
Speaking of spoiling names, i'd request you too to control the tone of your replies and not spoil the name of XBHP. If you do not like the design, say it. But do not add 'masala' to it. Simple. Cheers!!

For you Abhi7013...i am not against any name or any company here...I respect RE as well as Hero as both are of our country...What I said was not to insult the cafe racer cult (I too know that no one has patented it)...i know something about the cult as you know some. To make you understand the basics.. a cafe racer should hit a ton (100 miles per hour) can your splender pro classic with 100 cc do that...?? and talking about redesigning it...i still and will feel that its not worth the efforts to shape in a economic bike into racer and call it a different name...its just the openions ...you might like you Karizma(anything else) and i might go for the pulsar...so hold your horses and buy one if you want to when its there in the market..its not you who decide what I need to say here as each one has their own openions...
On the bit you have highlighted ...i just gave an example as RE is more to classics (when cafe racer originally came to light).

The RE CGT won't be able to touch that figure either! The Triumph Thruxton would be the least expensive option to touch the 160kph mark in stock form.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!
