Hey man!!! Every female is bit skeptical first coz this kind of scene, you don't see every day. 100+ bikers riding like a band of brother... having good time pulling each other's leg... admiring other's beautiful babe (read bikes ) .... & don;t worry.. for mega events like these you will find couple of other females too riding pillion with their respective hubby or BF. She will have more fun when she goes on a short ride with the whole gang.

Note: I am the guy who was riding a black 220 with a girl as pillion. She was wearing helmet too. Also, get her a helmet too. She would like it, specially in winters & in dust ROCK & RIDE

    • I have just two cents to be shared here:
At the outset of my post let me say it pleaase forgive me who find this post a pointing on them or a bit offending to them.

Overall it was a faboulous day, starting off from dhabha till we went there and stayed there for a long, there were many a situtaions where we have LOL'ed having hands on our stomach, and discussing anything and everything that we could,
Sunny, old fox, manan, noor, himanshu, sharad, and JD(Ducati) we thank you all for the wonderful time and hospitality.

For the brickbats, Something had happened in the mumbai thread, those who go throug the site can surely go.
I understand that I am no one to say something to somebody directly, nor am I given that kind of responisibility.
However what I am trying to make a point here is that: we all are sensible mature riders, riding with a huge group attracts a lot of attention and esp when there are imported bikes, we tend to rip the bikes to get closer to them and ride along,
please refrain from such things, your bikes are not meant for that close nick to nick match up with them.
If someone gets hurt during this it will be an issue for everyone, noone is gonna leave you there on the streets, but a problem will arise,
Tailgaiting Each other, not riding close enough, laggin behind, crossing zig zags here and there was noticed at times by a few, I would not like to name anyone here, but you all know where you lack. If you feel there is something that you dont know, come up to the people who are from a long time.
I on behalf of some more people as discussed, humbly request you all to please read about group ridings and then join in for major group ride, esp the first timers.

Very pertinent observation. I was a first timer and it was naive of me not to have gone through the rules of group riding. However, I tried my best to discipline myself. In the start, ours was demarcated as the second group and the pilot was Rahul in his blue 220. Although I saw many people cross by and stuff, I maintained my position (black P180 with pillion) right behind the pilot and snapped in to a double file formation whenever it the roads widened up.

Anyway, the meet was quite an experience. For a first timer, it's heartening to see how xBHP has encouraged people to become aware and responsible riders. And of course, most heartening of all was the bonhomie among everyone!

Agreed. There was a little bit of riding too close and zigzagging happening. The riders doing this know themselves who they are and I'm sure they are sensible enough that they will learn to ride with a group.

I too was in that 'group' of four riders. I was riding the white r15. I guess rahul got confused as to whether he was to stay with the first group or with the second group. Anyways, it could happen to anyone and no harm was done as we got joint with the second group on the very first signaled intersection.

As for the ride, it was amazing. So many bikers riding together was quite a sight. The ducatis were a treat to look at and the Ducati showroom was kind enough to provide us with some delicious breakfast. GODS showing up added a lot of spice to the already awesome meet with their inline fours. All in all, it was a great way to spent a sunday morning.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

I was little dissapointed that there wasnt a grand stall on the lines of Pune..but heck the Ducatis and SunilG, Himanshu filled it up...
