After a spicy breakfast of Idli and Coconut chutney, the guys had the mandatory photoshoot before the team could leave for Hyderabad. We thank Sandeep, Jagdeesh and the rest of the Vijaywada gang for their hospitality and helpfulness. We rode together till Suryapet, where we were handed over to the Hyderabad xBhpians! The ride will not be easily forgotten by any of the GICR team, as they were thrown around like rag dolls by the cross winds near Vijaywada. A slap in the face quite literally.

The GICR team proceeded from Suryapet to Hyderabad accompanied by 8 xBhpians from the Hyderabad chapter who rode together till Ramaoji Film City, where another 7-8 guys were waiting for the team. The large cavalcade then rode into the crowded city where we made slow progress to the hotel located in Jubilee Hills. At the hotel, Kaleem sir was waiting to receive the team and officially welcome them to Hyderabad. Kaleem sir had organised his troops to ensure that everything planned went off without a hitch, as a small interactive session was held where the team introduced themselves to all the bikers present.
The team was presented with mementos by the Hyderabad xBhpians individually and every one of the team was made to feel special. The warmth and affection of the Hyderabadis was infectious and really made us feel welcome. We thank the Hyderabad chapter for going to such great lengths of riding 200 km out to meet us and escort us to the hotel and then showering us with so much affection.
After coffee and cookies the bikers geared up to ride to Gandipet. The long procession of bikes rode out to the location, but were in for an unpleasant surprise. Some local rowdy bikers were hell bent on performing stunts on public roads without any gear after seeing the superbikes in the group. This led to a last minute change of plan, as the bikes turned around and headed out to Movie Towers. A quiet place far away from the city hustle and bustle, yet close enough to give a full view of the IT hub of Hyderabad.
xBhp kicked off its 11th Birthday celebrations from the city of Biryani and pleasantly surprised all the xBhp bikers present. A cake was brought with the theme of motorcycling and Hyderabad printed on it, uniting the things the bikers of the city love. After an awesome time stuffing their faces with delicious cake, the G2G finally came to an end, with everybody once again having to move through the crazy traffic of Hyderabad. For an outsider, it appears as if there is metro construction going on in every little lane! Hope to see the situation improve in the next India ride!
The evening was capped off with a dinner hosted by Kaleem sir, where we had some original Hyderabadi fare and Apricot preserve for dessert, which was 10 times sweeter than the sweetest thing one could have ever eaten! A wonderful but long day finally came to an end as the weary travellers went back to the hotel, once again escorted by two Sriharshas!
