bad pricing -- should obviously have been a lac cheaper

guess they want to maximise on profits before cheaper ducatis start arriving next year

+ 1. expected price was 5.99, but overpriced...Triumph Street Triple will
now replace Ducati Monster 795 from my list.
Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Aahhh...Had the Ducati priced the 795 even a 50 grands low at Rs. 6.49L/-, that would have been welcomed. 6.99 shuts us off psychologically.

But still, a year ago, who would have dreamt of owning a 803cc Ducati for a sub-seven lakh price!!
          Thanks,

Mine too I am seriously considering Street Triple over ducati 795.

All of a sudden Street Triple is looking VFM to me

Hey... just a little query : How is the 795 different that the 796 ? (except the price difference)

The difference in specs isnt too much, according to these official pages :

                  795 : Ducati
                  796 : Ducati

Sunny, what does xBhp think about this price tag? Has it gone 50 to 100 grand more than what was expected?

Ofcourse, we know your love for Ducatis and Hyosungs(GT650R in particular) and disregard for cruisers like HD (and even to certain extent the ST7).

Have not seen major coverage of HD bringing in the bad boys Street Bob and Super Glide custom through CKD - effectively cutting the price tag by a whopping 4 lakhs.
                        Thanks,
                        Gowri R.Varadhan

i believe they overshot price a little bit. 7 lacs ex seems a bit too high to me especially now that triumph has announced its entry.
But then again its ducati. People will buy it even if overpriced ..
