well when i was posting bout the honda i was sure tat tenhut is going to ve a smile ... but sorry brother i got a 2008 honda cbr600...

im not an expert to comment bout the turning issue but in my quest to own a bike i found out one thing that a honda is the fastest out of the corners...

and guys i never used to like the honda but trust me i ve new found respect for it now.. also 100/100 on the suspension... the engine is way too smooth to be a sbk.. i love this bike.. i even saw all the comparisions btwn k8 gsxr600,ninja600,dayatona and the r6... every comparision showed tat the honda stands tall...(well i did tat aftr buyin the bike though :P)

overall im hugely disappointed on the sound wich i intend to solve soon.. so guide me on the end cans

also some points to be noted on the cbr600:then do let me know.. i want to learn everythin bout this bike

I want to discuss this...and so I shall

Actually, the average joe rider does not have to do anything to exploit this particular technology. Yes, the Honda feels boring ( I admit it does because its not throwing you off the saddle ever)
Why can noobs ride Honda better ?
Why do noobs like Honda more ?
Why do they say the Blade will make you look like you were a Pro rider when you actually are not ?

Thats because you aint doing anything when riding the bike..you twist the throttle and all that thing we mentioned earlier starts working in the background and the rider has a very controlled burst of acceleration. Infact Honda believes that any technology that goes into their sport bikes should be working in the background aiding a noob on the road and a racer on the track WITHOUT their knowledge.
IACV, IIC, 2nd generation HESD, C-ABS all these techs have been developed based on their above mentioned core philosophy. All of them work in the background and work whether the rider puts in any effort to exploit/use it or not.
You rode a honda..but you didnt know why it was smooth..you rode it on the track and it never felt maddningly fast because there was no schock/pull or any other superbike like behaviour. One would wonder if the bike really is as fast as they say it is...and without all these crazy things happening to the rider, the bike feels boring. All there is left to do for the rider is throttle on and throttle off...and brake when u wanna slow down. Now thats boring. Thats a tourers job..not a sport riders job. I wouldnt buy a sport bike which is just a 1000cc super fast Activa. I want more feedback..I want it to scare me..and it should bite me back if I am a tard on the throttle.
But wait...The Blade is fastest around the track and is fastest in quarter mile acceleration. Hang on...this is a paradox.. it doesnt pull so hard when it accelerates...i dont even feel that sudden jerk..i dont hear the intake sound and even if I do it aint as sweet as that on other bikes then why is it faster around the track then ?
Driveline lash actually reduces acceleration...it can be called as 'lag' in acceleration untill great amounts of power suddenly explodes underneath you. Ofcourse gearing will also help in getting quarter mile timings. The r1 with its tallest first gear is never gonna win a quarter mile unless heavily souped up because its not even made to win quarter miles..they wouldnt make the first gear so tall otherwise. Its a track tool. The fact that Yamaha chose to stick with cross plane even though it dishes out lesser HP numbers clearly puts the message out there.."we are committed to making bikes that are for the track first" Cross plane is a track engine..for direct feel to the rear wheel and it works. UNfortuantely the product feels rushed out when it comes to the weight of the bike.
Untill recently honda always had 'total control' as their tag line in their advertisements. Honda caters to a different target audience.

Now lets get back to the Blade. It is as fast as a bat out of hell..but doesnt even let the rider know nor feel the speed much. No driveline lash means the noob whacks the throttle open when exiting the corner without fear..they are faster on it...laptimes are are shorter on it...the chasis and suspension work together really well when exiting the corner...and blah blah
It was either motorcycle-usa or mcn who said that they felt so confident and dialled in on the blade that they crashed it for they never stopped pushing it and it never upset the bike any which way. Will try and post a link to that article here but u can google those articles too.
Now superbike math is simple...if a noob can be faster on the blade then a pro is gonna make the bike dance to his tunes. And thats what happens when they test the blade on the track..Steve Atlas the lead tester of motorcycle-usa was consistently faster on the blade around the track although he wasnt for the Blade at all for it bored him for the bike wasnt any bit demanding at all.
I believe Steve Atlas has earned the right to say that...but us noobs on the street can only thank Honda for making a superbike thats easy to ride and is fast as hell. I mean why will I want to make my life more difficult by having to grapple and struggle with the power when I cant really even ride and dont really even qualify for ANY 1000cc ! I want to focus more on my lines..my vision..where I look at before entering the corner..where I look at mid corner..where I look at when at the exit..improve my peripheral vision..use my legs more...concentrate on my anchor points on the bike..have less or no weight on the bars...and lastly the greatest skill of it all..learn braking. I wanna be doing this all every corner, all of it in a second..and I wanna be doing this all right so that when I exit the corner I move ahead to join the dots for the next corner...I wanna plan the corner and anything that the bike does to scare/excite/thrill me is a distraction to me.

I guess it all boils down to what one plans and aims to do with the bike. What ones liking is..but I for one shit bricks when I ride my friends Gixxer every single time. While at the same time I rip the blade through the same corner and think I could be going faster.

Can Yamaha, Suzuki, kawasaki make a bike like that ?...ofcourse they can..these ppl make the best prototype bikes in the world, MotoGP bikes..how can one think they lack in any sort of technologies ?
They all are pioneering some or the other shit all the time. But thank god they dont make them bikes all same. They all have different purposes and cater to different audiences. While doing that...one ends up becoming better than the other for that particular year..for this one got their priorities right and thats what the market wants for that year...the next year its someone else.

why did I type all that ? I had too much time on my hands right now ..and missed riding my blade. Yesterday I returned to lavasa 75 days after the crash. Feels like I am starting to learn riding all over again there. Building up the confidence again...step by step...through riding...through discussing bikes and discussing biking.
I shall be doing this a lot more in the coming days

@renny : Yeah...in about a week I am to install the full carbon fibre body on blade. Excited as crazy. The bikes not gonna be as loud to look at as digital silver but the aim is to now turn it into a track bike for CSS

CBR6000RR is a sweet bike mate... ! Ride Safe and good on ya for having hopped onto a 600
35k for an end can is fine. Ninja 250R's two bros costs 32k.
With an end can all your problems will be solved.
on the 08 600RR you will have ear orgasms at 5k rpm. Then the sound shall dip and at 7k rpm its will just start getting so freakin awesome you wouldnt want to let go off the throttle
Yoshimura would be even better than TwoBros as 2bros got too much base to its sound. Yoshimura RS-5 will be the best pipe for you look wise and sound wise as its loud enough too.
Tried PMing you the price for Yoshimura..your PM function is disabled...text me your number at [email protected]

Full C/F, you say? I chanced upon a MV F4 in full C/F at a bike shop last month - looked sick! Looked like a Reventon on 2 wheels or something like that.

There was a C/F kit for the 250R too! I was so, so tempted.

Wow that was one long post man.

All I'll say is, I've ridden the Blade and the R1 enough on our tracks and street to decide that a litrebike (either of them) is too big for both the street and track. I'm not in the best of shape, and at the end of a 2 day free practice weekend at the track, (~100+ laps over 2 days), I'm pretty much wasted trying to heft the bikes around.

I'm not fan of acronyms and technology. I listen to stories from the old-school racers who would race Roadkings and Bullets around our tracks in Chennai and Sholavaram, and then I think whether all this technology is really worth it.. The racers back then were putting it all out, learning the track, improving their skills, while taming their obviously-not-for-track machines. You may be faster and a lot more relaxed while on the Blade, but on a machine like say the 10R, you'd be a lot more happier.

Anyway, enough with the OT, and let's dump this thread, back on topic and get on with it

^ Brilliant! Well, track prepped RDs(close to 85bhp) need a special mention too!!

I have seen MCN's comparo between '09 R1 and the Blade. They rode both the bikes for over 200 miles in Spain. And the verdict says: R1 is the bike to go for!
