it's like to be OR not to be...
i look at it this way - you are paying for what you like today! if you think you are getting worth of what you are paying - i say GO for it right now!! think of it this way - you would be enjoying the bike each day till the price cut is announced - and i am sure the joy of riding a SBK will make you forget about how much extra you paid, but will always remind you how much more fun you had by not waiting.
on the other hand - i am expecting major price cuts in all the imported vehicle segments. with the global economy still reviving, and india going great guns, it won't be too far when the manufacturers realise that india has a far better potential than what they anticipated if they price their products right! for all we know, all these SBK manufacturers might already be on the way of putting up assembly lines in their existing set-ups. if the chotu mechanic (read grey import dealers) can assemble a bike with mostly nothing going wrong, then i trust the manufacturers to match up the international standards with absolutely no hitch. the recently launched cbr 250 is a indicator of how a good product can be manufactured/assembled in india without any quality issues and and a super competitive price.
once the japs start rolling out their vehicles at a more sensible price, the europeans will follow soon. harley anyways has come out at really and i meant it really nice price, and they are gonna get sweeter once the assembly line is in place. ducati already had revised their prices last year, and i am sure they will re-think and come out with much sweeter prices for better sales. onething all the automobile manufacturers have realised (mass manufacturers) that the best way to stay afloat and make money is, sell in higher numbers with lower margins. keeps you alive longer than selling just a few numbers with HUGE profits.
anyways coming back to your dilemma, if i were you, i wouldn't have waited even for a day - buy it - ride it - enjoy it till the time lasts. if you wait for better rates, then probably you will never be able to buy it at a satisfactory price. each month new freebies/offers will be thrown at you. i suggest you forget it all and go for it immediately.
though something makes me wonder whether buying a blade at 15.6 is worth it. i mean you can easily get a much sexier and soul tickling 848 evo and maybe a more exclusive RSV4 at around the same price - how did you zero in on the blade??
