It was there the previous night before I slept. Next day I walked out of my door (with full enthu being my birthday) and its not there. I reported to the police. Apparently, 2-3 bikes were stolen from my area (Champaign, IL) that night. This sucks man.

The good part is I have full insurance on it. Hopefully, I'll get some money and I'll buy a newer bike but only next year.
Really, really sorry to hear about this. Pretty certain your insurance will reimburse you for your bike.

      Good luck.

Sorry to hear that buddy. My buddies GSXR 600 was stolen a year ago from his apt complex. He dint chain his bike, while his room mates CBR was changed. The gixxer was stolen.
            Insurance will cover it.
Make sure u mention the after market parts to the insurance agency.
And happy birthday buddy. Here's wishing you a new bike soon.

I got the money from insurance company.

                Looking to buy a 07+ CBR600RR or 06+ R6

Any thoughts on either of them?

The best R6 to get would be 08. I had an 08 for 3 years and put 16K miles on it and modded it heavily.
06-07 were highly top end biased. 08 had major improvements and had a decent mid range bump in power.
Its a great looking bike and still the most potent 600 to track.
As a street bike, since you already owned a CBR, i think you would find the R6 ergonomics overly aggressive and power lacking in the low and mid range. Its a rev happy bike. 07+ CBRs are great street bikes.
If you plan on tracking, look no further than an R6. Hands down the best 600 you can track.
I think the CBR would make a better street bike.
The R6 is without doubt the best looking.
Ultimately, get the one which sets your pulse racing.
If you have any questions, pm me and I can help you out.
