@svjhonda: Its not about whether the magazines are to be believed or not. What we get in magazines, most of the times, is just an information of how particular bike rides/behaves in different riding conditions with technical data. What journalists write in magazines is like their personal opinions backed by some logical points. What matters is are those journalists good enough to pass a judgement on these powerful machines?

Considering this, guys from MCUSA are professional riders with loads of experience with these kind of motorcycles. Their judgement is normally backed by some very good logical explanation relating to how good and practical a powerful sport bike is when it comes to city riding, as this test was all about.

Having said that, in the end we don't have to agree or follow their judgement! If you have gone through that whole test in the link i have provided, then you'll notice that in the last page each of the 5 journalists have given their personal choices of which bike they would like to own if they have money. And you'll notice that contrary to their result, two of the 5 journalists said they will buy the Ducati 1198 even if it was 4th in the test and said to be the most uncomfortable litre bike for city riding!

So, you see, everyone has their personal preferences, In the end, it only matters which bike you like

The best points regarding the Fireblade is that it has the best ergonomics which makes it the most comfortable litre class bike to ride in a city, and this ergonomics factor is very important. Moreover, the Fireblade is considered to be so rider friendly that this makes it the easiest bike to ride fast, even for a person who is not very experienced with these kind of bikes! It really doesn't need different drive modes like in Suzuki and Yamaha! Its just that good.

    Cheers!

Well Sir, I would say that it's a tough competitor for her age old rival "R1". Yamaha too has worked out it's weapon very well. How about a write up about the 2009 R1?? From you, of course..

Those people who tell you not to take chances
They are all missing on what life is about
You only live once so take hold of the chance

2009 Superbike Smackdown VI Track out on MCUSA. This is the track part of the Superbike shootout between litre class bikes. The street test put up last week.

Honda Fireblade remains the king of tracks too

A small text about the Fireblade from the shootout (last page, last para):

They say defending any title is always harder than getting the first (just ask Chad Reed), but Honda’s CBR1000RR took everything thrown it’s way with ease and extreme precision, proving that so far it’s one of the few Superbikes to stand the test of time. Once again, say hello to the MotoUSA Superbike Smackdown Champion, the 2009 Honda CBR1000RR.

Now I must mention this time that nobody has to take the MCUSA's words as final, everybody has their own opinions, each superbike is worth having, no war on results/opinions please....just read and enjoy the article
