Another wonderful update Sachin bhai, except this time the greenery wasn't apparent . Nonetheless, I enjoy such pictures anytime.

PS - I thought Anders & Petra left MH; was it planned or incidental - your meeting with them?

It was n't planned and we met them while we were riding to Guhaghar. We invited them to stay where we stayed and they were with us for the entire day. Now they are staying at one of my friends place in Mumbai and they are still deciding if they should go to Alaska or ride to Ladakh instead

Been reading this thread for the last few days. I had my eye on the 650 for quite sometime now. The sometime being for about 3 years. This just is really impressive. Good writeup. Good work bro. And hats off to you for finding a girl who shares your passion. Even I am searching for someone like that. I was thinking about getting a used superbike. But now I am thinking this is the way to go, coz am also into long distance touring. And the 390 is not gonna cut it. Am gonna keep it for city rides and get a 650. There is one in the Kawi showroom near my place. Lemme see if i can get a test ride.

Just one question. Which all tires have u used so far. And what about the mileages(tire) and grip.

The bike came with dunlop roadsmart II tires. It lasted for 20k kms although I overused it a bit. The tire was good for dry conditions. Bad roads and gravel used to be little scary.

Then I changed to Pirelli Angel ST tires which has so far done 15k kms and the grip still looks great. This tire is tad better than stock dunlops and I felt much more confident handling bad roads and gravel.

When I m due for change, next would be a fatter rear ( 180" ) because it is cheaper than ( 160" ) stock profile and easily available. I have rode my friend's 650 with 180" rear tire profile and I had no issues what so ever. With respect to mileage my friend says he still gets 25 kmpl so thats good too. Only thing that I need to check is life of 180" tire but hopefully it should last 15k kms at least.

Hey, saw your message late. Anyway, I wasn't well so would not have been able to come anyway. Hopefully the next weekend.

Ride to Mulshi Dam - Tamhini Ghat

                      Date: 25th May
                      Distance Covered: 460 kms
Route: Thane - Lonavala - Chandni Chowk - Mulshi - Tamhini & Return

We set off to another location in interiors of Pune, MH exploring the beautiful Mulshi Lake & to enjoy the twisties of Tamhini Ghat. The heat was bearable and it only became a problem in return journey from 2PM onwards. Had a wonderful ride, roads were 80% good and 20% bad. We decided to have lunch at Basho's Resto in Mulshi and I will definitely recommend this place. It's reasonable and good quality food with a beautiful view of the Mulshi lake.

                      Time for some photos

Mulshi Lake - Beautiful roads with scenic views!

For close to 10 kms at this stretch one can view the scenic views of Mulshi lake! You wont feel like riding hard because you'll be too busy enjoying the landscape

Caution Board! I wonder who would want to ride fast at this road. Its soo beautiful you'll ride slow just to admire mother nature a bit more!

Ride for the love of roads! for the love of seeing new places!!

                      LOST Parade!!

                      The Gang!!!

Master with his Ninja! I love the color of the rims

We call his RE as Classic 500RR the way he rides it

He looks like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat to me

Another beautiful snap captured by Avinash. The Duke 390
