Okay guys, here are the updates from riding day #2.
This day was going to be a long day for us, much longer than we thought it would be. We started from the town of Cabanatuan at around 9 in the morning and headed straight to the local Kawasaki showroom, Wheeltek Cabanatuan. There we saw the Pulsar 220 SF being sold as the Rouser 220. It was being sold for around 1.3 lac INR. They also had the Apache 160 selling for around 70-75K PHP. These 2 bikes are sold as the performance bikes and are bought mostly by the enthusiasts as most of the 2 wheelers that you would see in Philippines are the step-through ones. There we also saw a huge number of CT100s being used in the tricycles, which is the most popular mode of public transport in Philippines. A tricycle is nothing but a country made side car kind of thing attached to a commuter class bikes. It is supposed to carry 3 people including the driver/rider, but you can see 7-8 people riding in a tricycle at a time. There are literally hundreds of thousands of these things on these roads. So after paying a quick visit to the Kawasaki showroom, we continued and hit the mountain roads soon. Here, we were forced to a real long break at a roadside restaurant due to heavy rains. but it was time well spent there, as the lovely lady in the kitchen cooked some delicious vegetarian food for us. The owner of that place is an elderly couple who were very nice to us. We chatted for quite a long time and he also showed us the World War II Japanese army helmet that he had found in the jungle.
However, this break did cost us a lot of time and by the time we started, we were pretty sure that we won't reach our destination for the day as we had close to 350 kms to do and the sun was setting. so after much deliberations we changed our plans. the maps came out and we dialled a few numbers to know about the road conditions.
we finally reached a town where we found a hotel but it had no rooms available. so after having dinner, we decided to push ahead for the Tuguegarao City, Cagay. We were around 100 kms from this by the time we started riding and it was already 10 p.m. We were a bit hesitant to ride as the roads here in philippines are very narrow and congested.
however, to our surprise, we found out that the roads become deserted post 9:30 p.m. and it was much fun and safer to ride here in the nighttime than the daytime. So if anyone of you is riding in the Philippines, do check it out to ride post 10 p.m. You would enjoy it more than the daytime.
We managed to reach Tuguegarao City in around 1.5 hours and crashed after doing the routine stuff of downloading the pictures from the camera to the laptop and editing them and uploading them and also charging the gadgets.
so that was our day 2 of riding. over to the pictures to do the talking now

our co-riders: (left to right) Mel the fun guy, Karlo the Gentleman, and the one and only Sunny the motographer. Your truly behind the cam.

the superbike CT100 at the Wheeltek Kawasaki: Look at the skinny front tyre and the gigantic front disk. I think you can replace both of these with each other and nobody can tell a difference even then.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R is an ultra powerful superbike. However with similar the new Ninja 250R and 300R one might be confused at the first glance. That said, the bike was nimble, albeit not as much as the Ninja 250R for sure around the Clark International Speedway. I would still prefer a Ninja ZX6R anyday for my potent potion of speed and ease of handling. The litre class is too much to grab on to!
