  • 600cc engine required

    Hi all
I need a 600cc engine with transmission for a build I'm doing. A cbr 600's engine would be preferred. Anyone who has one please reply. Also is there any possible safe method of importing them from abroad?

Ohh sorry I forgot to mention. I'm making a Suprasae car. This year there is no engine sponsorship and we have to get a max 610cc engine.

You may try to source TATA Nano engine.

a nano's engine wont fulfill our requirements without any tweaks and changes in the stock one AFAIK . Plus the main reason is that its displacement is 624cc whereas out limit is 610 cc.
so a bike's engine, preferably a cbr600's engine would suit the car the best. Also most of the Formula Supra teams(international competition) use the same engine compared to other bike engines

I'm in the same college buddy. Which year are you in? I'm going to S.E now.
About the engine I too found most fsae teams using the cbr engine. Looking forward to importing it, I think that's the only option left.

Somewhere around 3-5 lakhs for a new engine and transmission couple. That's too much I think. Not searching very aggressively right now, waiting to clear the virtual round first. I see that even you have a cbr 600 of approximately my age How is it doing?

Thats too much buddy, is this the price for a brand new one 0 Kms run? How bot a used one from Middle east or far east?
Yeah i have a 94 CBR 600 F2, and its running fit and fine bro. Was thinking of putting my hands on a engine seized bike and get a used engine. If the cost is 3-4L then no point investing money and time. Well yaa 1-1.5 L is okay

will look for availability in middle east , a lot of options would be available there. So you plan to use the body and engines of two different bikes and merge them together(didn't quite get your point)? Even a used engine at 1-1.5 would be difficult to get from outside after adding the import duties too .But will keep you posted.
