    True!

See, I don't wanna sound negative, but here are a few factors that you shud consider (just my thoughts):
    1. This is a discontinued bike, not sure about the supply of spares. Also a discontinued bike has a lower resale value.
    2. Factor in 30% depreciation for sure.
    3. Anything in the 10-15K run means consumables like Tyres, Brake Pads, Chain, Sprocket may need replacement.
    4. The accessories do bear some value in the resale but not 100%.
    5. Check till when the Insurance is valid.

    Best of luck..

Thanks! Really appreciate inputs from both of you.
Unfortunately the bike I mentioned is now sold. I am still in hunt for Z800 and options from Pune/Mumbai are very limited ~ hardly 3,4 bikes and the asking prices are way higher (about 7.3 for 2014 model, 7.6 for 2015 model and 8.5 for 2016 model). All these quoted by dealers. I would rather buy directly from owner for good deal.

You can also think about Triumph Street Triple! Few people are selling as they are upgrading to higher end bikes in near future....

By the way guys...Just wanted to share one experience with all of you - please check my article:

Yes Jeevan sir, I am looking into ST as well . The only reason its my second option is due to stalling issue. From what I heard at least half the ST's are facing the stalling issue. How can I assure there is no stalling issue if I get a good deal ? Will 10-15km test ride would be sufficient to judge ? Also if you have any reference for used ST, please PM me thanks !

              Hi buddy,
Yes, stalling issue is for real although my specific bike hasn't experienced it. I saw symptoms 1-2 times but really it didn't happen. But it has happened to quite a few people. The only solution given by Triumph India is that they will check air filter every 5000 km, clean or replace it for free, they will also do Throttle Body Cleaning and Throttle Idling Stepper Motor reset in every 5000 km. This prevents the problem from happening as far as most people have experienced (1-2 have experienced problem even after this but majority haven't).
Clear root cause of stalling is not known but Triumph says this is due to very dusty conditions in India and also the fact that Street Triple is very regularly used motorcycle so accumulates dust faster than other bikes that remain covered for weekdays and get used only in weekends mostly on good roads having less dusty conditions. This is why according to them it happens to Street Triple only and not to Daytona, Speed Triple, Rocket or other brands like Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Z800 etc as those riders are mostly riding on weekends not daily while someone like me rides almost every day + weekends also (not entirely convincing for me but don't know any other explanation as yet).

Doesn't matter - even then as long as you continue to do air filter replacement and TB cleaning every 5000 km, it should be ok. You can get decent bargain for Street Triple now because New Street will be launched soon - so in used market there will be temporary fall of price for older Street - it may not remain that way always

Does this launch would discontinue the z800 in India? [emoji26]

That I am not sure - But could be as if the Z800 is BS3 then the days are numbered. Can't be sold beyond 1st April.

Though I am not sure if that's the case or if the Z800 will continue.

It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

                            Hello friends,

Currently I ride Benellii TNT 300.

Now I want to upgrade to Z800.

After a bit of research I have decided to go with Z800. I like naked sports. Inline 4 is my dream. I am not happy with Benelli bikes.

                            Why Z800

                            • My maximum budget is 8L. I somehow can manage till 9L. Beyond that no way I can afford.
                            • My height is 5.6 and after the test ride I felt very comfortable on Z800.
                            • Want a inline 4 with fair amount of power.
                            • Though I know Z900 is launched but in Bangalore the price would be nearly 11 lac which no way I can afford.
                            • I will use the bike for solo trips. Occasionally road trip with pillion. For luggage on Z800 I will purchase Cortech saddle bag and tank bag which are well fit on Z800.

If some of you can guide me on this would be great. My confusion is,

Am I doing any mistake buying a bike which is no more in production ? And Z800 is not the only bike I will buy. After about 2 years I have a plan to go for better touring bike.

You could consider the CBR 650 f as a option due to Ur touring needs , it's not as powerful as the z but sure does pack a punch in the mid and top end, it's lighter than the z , do test ride both tho getting a TD on a z is difficult now due to that split.

Your height 5.6 will not suit the bike . You will struggle to keep both feet down but you can manage the inconvenience
