    Hi All,

I am on a hunt for new tyres for my 'Z'.
Wanted to know what you guys have changed it to.
Currently, am inclined to Michelin Pilot Power 3. Any views who have experience with this ones, would be great.!

^ Yes one of my friend has Pilot Road too. He claims that is way better than stock Dunlops. I have not changed first set yet.

Check out the video. I am the one with white astars jacket.

Thanks for the revert. I have PR4 & Power3 as an option.
Recently came across Metzelers - M7. Not sure about its actual performance & longevity. The online forums have good feedback though.

Tires have always been a huge dilemma

Is there any concrete news on Z900 India launch and pricing? And if Z800 will still be on sale and if yes then till when? What I get from Bangalore showroom people is that Z900 bookings will start after its launched somewhere in Mar-Apr.

                      Hey Rachit,

Good to see you after some time. I guess we both upgraded from our Red Karizmas in the similar time frame.

Can you help me with the difference between Pilot Road and Pilot Power series? I couldn't get a decent answer from Internet.
I was looking at Pilot Road 3 as one of the option for my CBR.

Wishing you many wonderful miles with the Z.

                      CHEERS!!

Hey hi buddy.. I do remember we talking about the similarities we shared long time back. After karizma i owned and still have the CBR250.
Am afraid, I may not be the right guy to tell you the exact difference. Although, from what I heard is Road 2 is now outdated since 2013, Road 3 I doubt if available for India, Road4 was getting quiet expensive for me and wasnt of the stock size of the Z. And perhaps, Road tyres are 100 percent touring ones. I wanted a tyre which has mix of touring, good on corners, wet. I read lot of good things on other forums too. So was contemplated on getting the Power 3. I could be wrong with my details, but I am totally happy with the purchase and am sure the happiness will increase with the gain in grip as I ride it further.
                        Ride safe buddy..!!

Friends I was looking to buy Z800 since many months but I was out of India. At 8.3l on road Pune, it was very sweet deal. Now there is dilemma - Z900 will be launched soon and In Maharashtra Z800 is now almost 1l expensive. Also by year end I will again have to travel abroad so I was thinking to buy used Z800/Street Triple. I have ruled out ST due to notorious stalling issue. I have come across couple of deals of Z800 from local dealer of old bikes. One of the model is May 2014 make and driven around 12k and accessorized worth 50-60k and Pune registered. There is not accident history and bike seems to be in mint condition. Is 7l worth price for it ? How to ensure there is no major problem with bike - I was thinking to take the bike to Kawasaki dealer (Khiwraj) for paid inspection but I am not sure if this is feasible.

Bro - 7 lakhs for a 2014 bike is too high. Think this way - bike onroad price then will be around 8.5.

3 years depriciation of the cost should be 30% less which means 850000 - 255000 = 5,95,000. Taking this into consideration the cost is high. At most if you really like the bike, you should go to 6.25 lakhs.

                                Source for depriciation. https://www.icicilombard.com/insuran...ur-two-wheeler
