Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
Right from the day this thread started I have been reading each and every conversation ! I still remember the first time I saw photos of the Z800 in the internet and I literally went gaga over it. In my eyes this was one of the best looking bikes ever made !!. On July 6 2014, I finally got chance to see the bike in real and thanks to the chaps at Kawasaki Bangalore I got a chance to test ride the beast and rest was just pure pleasure. I was heavily impressed with the smoothness and gearbox of the bike, and a special mention to the inline 4 music!! From that day I was sure that my next bike is going to be a Z800. So when most of us plan to buy a bike, what we normally do is fix a budget and then test ride different bikes and then fix the bike. Mine was completely different. I never wanted to ride any other bike, because I was sure that if I had to buy a bike it had to be the Z800 ! It was the same way I bought my Duke 200 4 years back. Saw it, liked it, rode it , loved it ! Then came the saving part. The savings for duke didn't take much time and after 3 months the bike came to my garage. But the Z !!!! I started saving from July 6, 2014 ! My plan was to take a new bike, but on 14 March 2016, A friend of mine informed me that his friend is planning to sell his Z800. A very low mileage and very well maintained bike and the price he quoted was also quite reasonable too. My savings were also almost there. The next day I went and saw the bike and boy I was impressed. Such a well kept scratch less bike ! I was still short of some money. Finally I managed to arrange the extra money and on 19th March 2016, I owned the beast
. I can say that in the last 20 months there has not been a single day where I didn't dream about the bike. (not kidding) !! And after all the hard savings and support from my family and friends I owned the beast.
I am now one of the most happiest person in the whole world !
She already had some good set of after markets including an MRA windscreen, A two brothers exhaust, frame sliders and tank pad.
Looking forward for having some really good time with the Z !!
Update after 5 days of riding. The exhaust is soo freaking loud !! And it enhances the riding experiences to a whole different level. Im in a dilemma whether to fit the stock exhaust thinking about cop issues !! Will see for another month and then decide ..
Next set of accessories Im planning to buy- Engine guards, Radiator guard, Fork protector and swingarm spools. Requesting everyone to kindly suggest the best option.
And finally thanking all of you in writing such honest reviews and experiences which further motivated me to reach my goal.Last edited by anand_d; 03-24-2016, 07:18 PM.

,Havent got a chance to take a video yet. Will be taking the bike for a ride tomorrow. Will try to take a video for sure. And the exhaust was already in the bike when I got it. The previous owner bought it from Performance racing store for 45k. And it sounds soooo good ! The best part is those pops and crackles while leaving the throttle ! Yes yes, il stop typing and post the video soon

I Had contacted few dealers and followed few of those sbk ad pages in FB. And went and saw 2 bikes too. Wasn't really happy with those bikes. This one came through a friend of friend. He was planning for an upgrade and told my friend that he is thinking of selling his z800. And my friend called and said the good news. The next morning I went and saw the bike and on way back came on my new Z800
Sure il PM you the price.

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
Some pics.
Have been extremely busy lately. After buying a superbike, I have not got time to ride it properly. What a disappointment. Wish this could have happened few years earlier.
The number of Z800s is very surprising. On a weekend ride it is easily between 5-15!!

Isn't that always the case in life. When you have the time, you don't have the money. And when you have the money, you don't have the time
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
After two good years My Z is still going strong. Hardly could do 7-8k kms. Now thinking of putting an exhaust. Any suggestions?
On a typical weekend Ride, the amount of Z800s is very surprising. It is the Pulsar of superbikes now :P
While going for the ride above, I was concentrating hard at 150 kmph when the Ninja H2 simply rocketed past me!!!
What an insane bike!
I have done a bit stickering on my Z's visor. The kanji calligraphy reads 'BUSHIDO' which was the code of the Samurai.
And I have completed 10 years with XBHP! Let's see if I can write something.Last edited by nitrosatya; 08-28-2016, 11:45 PM.
