Radiator guard was slightly bent when i received it. I may have to remove it and get it adjusted as this is causing a few vibrations at high RPM.

I get around 15 to 16KMPL in Bangalore traffic as i ride in moderate traffic of bangalore.

On highways i get over 20 KMPL when doing ~120KMPH. The above mileage figures are from MID as I have not yet calculated tankful to tankful method. I am sure this will improve in coming days as i get more adjusted with bike's riding characteristic.

There is absolutely no heating issue as hot air is blown away from your thigh. So your leg/thigh will not get cooked in our pathetic traffic condition.

Since you mentioned you are looking for either ST/Z800 for city commute of 55KM per day, let me pen down my thoughts:
* Either of these bikes are not easy to ride in bangalore city traffic conditions. Clutch is on a bit heavier side and more over its not worth the effort IMO. Other road users will not allow you to ride comfortably and will come very close to you to have a glance. I hate this as i get a bit scared when they come very close. Braking ability of these bikes and regular bike/scooter cannot be compared and i try to maintain quote a bit distance.

* You cannot expect over 15KMPL if et all you are riding either of these bikes in bangalore city traffic as most of the time you will be in 1st and 2nd gear (I have ridden over 300KM in bangalore city traffic).

*You will be wasting quite an amount of fuel when standing in traffic jam or traffic signals. This fuel can be used to have a blast on highway

* Street triple will be quite a bit easy to ride in city because of lower kerb weight but tall first gear requires you to slip considerable amount of clutch in tight traffic (ST owners-pls post your opinion if i am wrong). Z800 hides its weight once on the move and it will be hard to tell that it weights 43KG more than ST. Also Z800 is a bit big in size when compared to ST.

* ST is relatively cheaper when it comes to maintenance as you can use 91 Octane fuel and service intervals are 10K KM/Year. For Z800, interval is 6K KM without time limit
Z800 requires 95 Octance but i am using Shell regular/super and have never found any knocking issue or drop in performance when compared to 97 Octane fuel.

* ST costs you over 40K less than Z800. You can get an Arrow exhaust for that money

* If i was in your place, i would buy a Duke 200/390 for city commute and ST/Z800 for highway ride.

If possible get loan from nationalized bank since rate of interest is lower and you will have flexi payment options.

I have somehow convinced them to agree for CBR650F, may be I will try a bit more for extracting 2L more for the Zee...else I will end up buying CBR650F. And use the 2L for getting myself and the bike good addons

How is the power delivery? Is it linear or does it pop power wheelies in WOT?
I have ridden the Z1000 and that was scary - the bike seemed to be capable of doing power wheelies even beyond 3rd gear and yea, the ZX10R felt more safe than the naked and aggressive Z1000 IMHO.

CBR650F is a good bike and if honda can manufacture it locally and price reasonably, i feel its best practical bike for our road conditions. I am sure it will be reliable since i guess they are importing engines. But when are they going to launch is a big question.

But looks of Z1000 will convince a rider to sign a cheque

@djay99 Brother I have a little suggestion -- Why don't you eliminate the rear fender I mean add a fender eliminator kit, I feel it would look much more meaner and sexier.

I agree that a fender eliminator makes it look good but i would like to buy that later. Have ordered double bubble wind screen, green colour swing arm spools, kawasaki engine protectors and lowering kit. Will add slip on exhaust later and then may be fender eliminator.
