        Finally

        Whoa there guys !!
I have been meaning to start something like this since sometime, but was fairly convinced that I was the only Aquila owner here.

I have a late 2004 one. Bought sec hand and have it since a year and a half now. I'm in Bangalore BTW.

Regarding spares, I used to get stuff sporadically from the Kinetic guys, but there response left a lot to be desired. Also they seem to be only interested in ripping you off. But off late, even they tend to raise their hands in despair and say tey cannot guarentee any spares. So Aquila/comet owners are on their own I guess.

That brings me to contact for spares. I have this number of a guy called Rajesh in Mumbai (9221833701) hu claims he has Aquila spares, but whenever I have asked for any particular spare, he said he doesnt have only that and has all the other things !! Mumbai guys can try him out !!

Also some showroom in Pune (020-25669002) hu seem to have spares. Give it a try.

But the most reliable source and something we aquila/comet owners usually use is this HYOSUNG GV/GT 125/250/650: Hyosung Parts For Reasonable Prices
Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

Thanks gentlemen for the responses..I bought mine from Mumbai (Third Hand really) and did some cosmetic re-work.Of course it's still a W-I-P.

Surprisingly,I got some spares from Kinetic.Had to change the chain-sprocket set and the Rear Shocks. Then as I went about chroming the metallic parts,I had to replace the silencer pipes as well. That I ordered through Richard Jordan.Delivered within a week as promised. Also got a "Crash-Guard" from him.

Just came to know through another Aquila owner in Mangalore about one spare stockist named "Mehboob Bhai" 09322260409.He claims to have "items" but want the sample to be sent so that he can courier the required item.

Urgently need "Handle nut and Bearings".Any alternate options?? Same question with battery as well?..Any suitable ones available in India??

^^ Congrats on your bike. Third hand isn't really a bad thing if she was kept in a good shape.
Also, even I mght need to replace my rear shocks. Where did you get them from ? Kinetic ? How much ?
regarding the batteries, I checked on net and found the following batteries to be comaptible :

            Hyosung: 33610-06C11
            Yuasa #YTX9-BS
            Yuasa Part No. YTX7A-BS
            Sears No. 44023
            GNB No. 7A-BS
            Interstate No. YTX7A-BS

What are the comsetic mods you are trying to do ? I changed the exhaust for a free flow one, and am putting a 15T front sprocket (instead of the 14T one) to bring down the highway RPM.

Lets post the pics of our bikes shall we, there are not much pics of Aquila in this forum anyways !!

Hi,Those batteries are not available in India to my knowledge. However, will give a try.The rear shocks were bought from a Kinetic dealer in B'lore.Almost 9k!I wanted the stock stuff. You may want to look at the KARIZMA ones too, obviously a lot cheaper. My bike pix are already up in the photo section.Search for "Aquila".

The batteries are not available is it ? Never had to check actually, my bike's battery is still going strong.

I thought the Yuasa's are available in India. Or check for any maintainance free battery with the same volt and amp rating ! The battery casing is very compact though, so it has to be the same dimensions !!!

I think I'll need to change my shocks! Cant use Zma's. They are not chromed and probably the pre load settings will not work on the heavier Aquila ! I order them from Richard anyways. Just wanted to have some indication of the price.

Yuvasa batteries are Tata Green now. May be you can mention the model name or find a close match if you have the correct rating... You can check out with Tata Green, Amaron, Base Terminal, Exide - someone would have a suitable one.

                      Tyres

                      @nsgkumar
Wat tyres are you using ? they do not look MRFs.

I enquired for 16" 110/80 front tyres today and all I could find here in Bangalore were IRCs. That too they quoted 2500 - 3500 !!

I own Huysung Aquila GV250 and i am running it with exide UPS battery which cost about Rs.600. It works just fine with it however you may need to recharge it every 20-30 days if your trips are short (battery won't get much time to recharge). You may also go for yuasa batteries which I heard have better performance ratting then Exide Batteries. While you inquire for yuasa batteries ask them you want battery for Yamaha Enticer, its size fits just fine in aquila.

I also inquired Kinetic guys and they told me that battery is available for rs.7500 when i called them 1 year back.

its really depends upon bikes condition but expect to shell out rs.1+ lakh (Rs.100,000). Good condition bike may fetch Rs.1,50,000 as well. These bikes are very rare and not available at all and will cost you Rs.450,000, if you import them.
