    Hey Augustine,

Great to know you are full DIY guy - there are many in our Triumph Pune as well as India group who are doing plenty of DIY. Due to lack of time and fears about warranty, I have usually not resorted to DIY other than chain cleaning/lubrication and general washing and fitting of superficial parts..

Definitely looking forward to riding with you in near future - hope you are logging more km so that you can unleash the beast to full potential..

Today I had a very good ride after quite a long break to Lavasa with Satyen and few other friends.
I will soon share some photos that will clearly show how much I have been able to use the rear tyre width through all those twisties!
I have used entire width of rear tyre - there is no part of the contact surface left which hasn't touched the tarmac! Though my leaning technique isn't as expected yet.

I am using the ball of the feet on the foot-pegs to raise my body, taking out the knees, elbows, bringing the body more into the lean compared to the bike etc but still instead of touching knees, I am first ending up touching toe-sliders on the ground. But now I am consistently able to touch toes on both left and right.

Still my right cornering is not as good as my left cornering but the difference is quite less now. But definitely compared to what I was doing 6-12-18 months ago, this is significant progress.

            Hi,

Im new here at xbph and this is my maiden post! Greetings. Very soon I too will be able to share my experience with Triumph on these forums as I have just finished booking the Street Triple S.
The new bit of info I am hoping to share and that may come useful for many is the purchase experience outside of major metro. Transporting the bike from Delhi to UP and organizing future servicing/ maintenance visits.

Wish me luck, my future bike will soon be doing a 600km trek from the capital to my home!

Brother, I think there are many Street Triple owners in North and North East who are not having direct access to showrooms of Triumph and they probably have already figured out arrangements so that will be very handy for you.
Send me your phone number as a 1:1 message along with your name and I will get you added to INDIA ST3 OWNERS FORUM.
This is entirely neutral and technical forum not sponsored by Triumph or anybody. So the views you get in this forum are purely independent and nobody has any vested interests as such. The forum is quite focused and has no unnecessary forwards or jokes etc (well, very rarely some member finds something irresistible and shares - but mostly it doesn't happen).

Sure, you are most welcome. While I do ride with Triumph Street Triple owners in Pune, I have no fixation of brand and I am totally open to riding with people who own different bikes and have different levels of skills also. I am still learning and have to remember that 2 years ago, I was not at the level I am today. So always willing to help any new person entering into higher powered segment of Motorcycles.

                Ride safe!

Thanks. I have moved on from my NInja 650. Infact in general term, I have downgraded to Yamaha R3. Primary reason being track days. I do look forward to adding either the new Street Triple or my favorite Yamaha MT09 to my line up.

Some of the pics from my recent ride and track day at Kolhapur. There is a track session in Kolhapur on the last week of October. I will most likely be attending it. Do let me know if you ride down to Lonavala, can catch up there, as it is a common destination for weekend breakfast rides.

Yes, currently rain is simply shattering my riding hopes but within a week or two we should be able to get better weather and be able to ride to Lonavla or even to Kolhapur.

You certainly have achieved good cornering in Khambataki Ghat but I sincerely suggest you not to take too many chances. We do similar cornering in Lavasa but at a time when there is no noticeable traffic - except bikers there is very minimal traffic in Lavasa.
Khambataki Ghat on the other hand is always crowded with trucks and buses. Just a suggestion - in no way I am trying to deter you..

Thats not Khambataki ghat. Thats Kasara, and on sunny days, there is good visibility for quite some distance. Also, like Lavasa, cornering is attempted only when roads are clear.

Thanks buddy, I will check my office schedule and let you know...That is the major challenge I always have as my job eats my weekends many times!

Two years ago when I bought Street Triple, I promised myself that I will definitely improve my technique and make myself worthy of riding this wonderful motorcycle. I have indeed made significant progress though I have many miles to go before reaching even amateur racer levels. I think more progress is only possible through professional track training (that's what is LEVEL-1 I think). I now no more aim to become racer but definitely want to go a level above current! I want to go as fast as possible round the track without breaking my bones...
