Congrats dkaile sir for the acquisition.
How do you manage to get 95+ rating fuel? Is it easily available in your area?

Thanks. Though it is mentioned 95 RON in the manual, it is officially confirmed by IKM and their service stations that the bike runs just fine on 91 RON i.e. normal petrol, and that is what I am using.

        Cheers...

Oh lol. Thanks for the clarification sir. It's my major concern in dreaming for a litre class SBK.

I had initially filled it up with RON 93 from Delhi but subsequent fill-ups have been ordinary petrol (RON 91), not premium. I do not notice any sluggishness and it seems quite the same to me. However the bike is still in its run-in period and I have not pushed it beyond 4K rpm for now and am running it in Low power mode (100 bhp). Can comment further only when it is fully run-in.

              Cheers...

Congratulations Dkaile on your new bike. I have been following your review for past couple of months, on team-BHP, and I must say that your reviews/ownership experience are brilliant. I bought a Z900 couple of months back and I am facing this low idle problem with my bike. I contacted the service folks here at Kawasaki Kochi and they have told me that other Z900 owners are also facing the same issue. The idle RPM of a Z900 is 1000 rpm but after 700-900 kms it falls down to 500 rpm. I have been told that this issue is due to deposits in the throttle body because of the fuel used. BTW i use only Speed. Now after every 700 kms I have to get my throttle body cleaned to get the engine RPM back to 1000.
I wanted to ask you if you are aware/heard of similar problem with other Z900 owners because I am unable to find a single thread over the internet regarding this issue?

That's a very strange issue you are facing. I have not encountered the same and neither has any member of our Ninja 1000 Owners group and many have already crossed thousands of kms. The explanation given by the dealership is not satisfactory. You should escalate the issue with them and then further with Kawasaki India and get the offending part replaced under warranty.

                        Cheers...

Hi I am own a Z900, clocked 1400 Kms, done the first service.
I dont think I face this issue. I use regular petrol, sometimes speed.

You can increase the idling RPM if you need.

                          ---

EDIT - You are right. I just checked mine. I started the bike, Idled it for 3 - 4 mins, the temp bar is at 2 levels, switched off the ignition. and restarted after a few seconds, its idling at 500 rpm. I guess as the engine temp is at 2 level it idles.
But I don't think I face an issue while riding. Please let me know if you face any issue while riding or any performance issue.
I ll check with the dealer tomo.

I have experienced this thrice now. The problem that I face after a few days is that the ignition just stops if you are engaging the clutch to shift up/down. Multiple times the engine just stopped when I tried to up-shift and I was at around 60 kmph and this can be very dangerous. Even at traffic lights I cannot let the engine remain at idle otherwise it just stops. I don't know what the problem is but it has robbed me of all the happiness of owning such a brilliant bike.

                              Hi, Congrats.

As the first service is done, have you experienced any slight vibrations above 5000 rpm?

and regarding the gearing, Is it hard when shifting from 0 - 1, 1-2 ?
can you please share about the gearing, Is it hard or smooth?

Thanks. I have not felt any out of the ordinary vibrations. The bike is absolutely smooth as is the gearing which I feel is amongst the best in class.
