fireblah i have followed every page of your thread for the past few months. the blade is awesome.. rd and kawa are mini superbikes

didnt know that we had a diavel in town..

Calcutta is small compared to other metros and there are few more bikes in town, but they do not wish to be with us. The RD guy in this picture owns a busa, but unfortunately, he had a crash recently, and his bike is gone for repairs.
One bandit had joined us as well just minutes after this pic was taken ....
Guess all Kolkata will see us soon in pictures like this..

Oh thats completely normal ... in west bengal (maybe whole of India) , they own the right to go wrong way by birth ! and if you even touch them, you will be put behind bars under attempt to murder ( section 307 i think ).
edit: we only take trucks coming wrong way seriously by beeping horn continuously and glaring at the driver .... other than that all is well !

Yes, fireblade has new set of tyres since ... around 6k kms ! now she is around 16 thousand, and the tyres still look new ! its amazing how amazing these tyres are. ( Michelin pilot road 2 ) dunno how they will do on track though ....

Ssup peeps ....
Blade underwent 5th service which is supposed to be the last regular service.
I've been slack, but anyways... it included inspection of spark plugs and really was some work just getting to them.
The plugs have their individual coils attached just on top of them ! never saw anything like that before, usually the coil system is a central one with wires going to individual plugs from there...

And yes, also introducing FMF Apex.... very few of you must have heard about this brand. It was suggested to me by tenhut, and boy this exhaust is awesome. Just what I needed, not too loud, just the right tone.





Mission: to reach the spark plugs.










The spark plug coil. All four has one like this. Plug is attached to this.








Now this ladies and gentlemen, is what I also did now know before. It is the heart (ecu) of C-ABS system ! Lies just between the front and rear seat, this baby saves and has saved lives of people. (saved my a$$ a couple of times too).




A cam belt tensioner.... what it does ? Not too sure, maybe what it sounds like.... but replacing it sure reduced hell lot of vibration at around 4.5k rpm. Was under warranty

After 17k kms, bike still gives me a smile whenever I just look at her and I wonder if this kind of a bike is really possible to be made by mortals ? sweet little wonder ....
