    yes ,the 2010 r1 & r6 have been launched
BIG BIG disapointment frm yamaha as we were expecting the r6 to go through a massive overhaul as did the r1 in 2009
2010 r6 is the same as the last years but it does have a long muffler.

The only people I admire who make a brilliant machine even more brilliant after every update was\is Suzuki!

(PS its a 100 mm longer mufler )
plus the tank capacity has been increased by 0.1 gallon!

              hi guys,
              got a question...
does the r1 or the r6 s2 (naked version) whose dual mufflers are just below the seat...do they heat up the seat (and probably cause a burning feeling on your behind) when driving for more than 30minutes? just curious. thanks in advance for your honest reply.
              2009: yamaha ybr-125g, yamaha fz-16, pulsar 200 black, pulsar 200red
              2010: pulsar 220 red, ninja 250r

Rossi paint job looks cool, but 1200 dollars for a paint job !
                Neat !

@3kings : I dont think it will cause a burning sensation, more like a hot seat sensation
May the torque be with you..

The R6 s2 version your talinking about (with underseat exhaust) is the FZ-6 . its not the naked version of the R6 as the engine configuration is completely different.
Im not a user of any of these, but I assume that the heat gaurds over the exhaust might be enough to avoid the heat being transmitted to the seat. But that is just from what i know...not what i've experienced. So can be wrong
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Updates are usually once in 2 years for Japanese ... In 2009, Yamaha and Suzuki updated ... Now is Honda and Kawasaki's turn.
Honda's updates we already know about. Not much changes, not much required anyways ...

So, in a way, I had already anticipated a new Yamaha R1 DESIGN Job & I did guess about it being MotoGP related... My speculation turned true...
Let's see what Kawasaki will do...

                          @ Satyen

I second what ashes says, Suzuki has been lagging. They might have made new versions of their bikes, better than the previous, but their bikes never excelled in any dept...track or street.....they would always lose out to the other 3 Japs. Suzuki thrives on Gixxer fanatics. They have a very hard time luring customers from other brands to try their bikes. 06 and to some extent 07 versions of Gixxers were brilliant. They have fallen behind since then.

None of the manufacturers seem to be updating their bikes this year. Considering the economy and the huge unsold 09 inventory. Cant blame them for backing out this year.

definitely correct, we can blame the economy in usa for this mess,
yamaha fans (include me) hav gone nuts bcoz r6 didnt get a overhaul.
it is been the same (i know abt few mods) since 2006

I too expected the new screamer Yammie to take a brilliant new Avatar in its 2010 launch but sad it remains as such with a small exhaust job.. But I won't blame them this time taking into account the economic situation
