Nah! was just joking but yeah man, there have been times when I rode 40-50 highway miles and then got caught in the city traffic and I parked the bike cause it was too hot to ride(also keep in mind the riding gear).....But, like I mentioned earlier, you can either use the heat shields or just ceramic coat the exhaust...It definitely makes a difference

Hey bro. Wasnt trying to discredit Gixxers at all. Every Jap liter bike is wining some championship or the other. Fireblades have been winning the British championships. R1s are on top in World SBK. Yamaha and Honda again in MotoGp. And like u mentioned...Suzuki in AMA.
Majority of publications in the world have written abt the fireblade stealing the crown in street riding from the Suzuki in 08.
The gixxer 600 was never a front runner in any comparo. Always good..but never best. That was the only point i was trying to make.
If Suzuki gets their styling right..like it had for the 07s....i'd love to own one.
And like you pointed out...it comes down to personal choice.
Dude!
Precisely my point! There aint nothing such as the BEST.All of them Jap manufacturers like u mentioned win in some category or the other.They keep duking it out and pipping each other to the finish line which is what makes all of this RELATIVE & GENERIC. There aint nothing that is SANGUINE about all of this.
Whether we go based on the verdicts handed out by TWO or for that matter MOTORCYCLE USA or any of them mags or dot coms...all we know is that these bikes are tested by them experts who pretty much leave no stone unturned when it comes to thrashing them. Whether we buy their theories hook, line and sinker I cant say but then all I will say is that it is an indicator to a certain extent.
It all boils down to like I said before PERSONAL CHOICE! Nuff said!

@busalover
I sometimes wonder how we discuss things with the same point in mind but it comes across differently. Makes for a good discussions anyway.

Will most definitely be pulled over for riding without the muffler. Even if its not loud. Biker's as it is are targets for cops.Originally posted by anirudh fz1 View Postr6 can do without the muffler ,just remove it and see" RIDE In Peace MARCO #58"

Is the R1 actually a success in the domestic markets........
Have read reviews where refer to it as heavy, ugly and the US markets they launch a detuned version to cope with emmision+ a lot of serious quality issues( They said no 2 R1s performs identically,.......all these are unlike yamaha). More anticipation is for the basic RSV4 which is scheduled to be launched and would be priced in the jap category.
Basic RSV4= Factory RSV4- Brembo- Ohlins- Marcasinni- The trademark adjustable Frame.
Any imports to india yet.....
