    Thanks Manson. This will help.

The feedback I have got is from buddies but still cant blindly trust their opinion for a simple reason that everyone likes to praise their own choice. Its only when they switch brands the cons come out. Human nature, cant help But I have found xBHP community to be candid and honest.

I did research about AStar helmets and didnt find one. However, check out this pic of a friend, previous owner of this bike.

Everything , except shoes, is AStar. He has an AStar helmet!! Or is it just a sticker Gotta ask him. His gear perfectly matches with the bike.

BTW, how much would Arai or Shoei / Shark cost?
    To each his own karma!

Not so sure if anyone is marketing ARAI in India just yet, atleast not officially. I think Bladerunner spent in the range of 25-30K for his recent acquisition.
The only 'real' high end helmet brand available locally is AGV through Bachoo motors, Tardeo. Surprisingly there's pretty much no local store who has linked with Shoei, Shark or Arai, etc

Errrrrr, I'm actually nearly on an all AGV set. Alpinestars seems to be of slightly better build though, and the prme reason I suggested Alpinestar & Joe Rocket as both are available here through PRS & DSG, so you can try your stuff before your part with the green from your pocket.

Ash for the race stand, just have one made at the neighbourhood machine shop or you could buy one off eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices for a reasonable price.

PRS also sell the top range Joe Rocket helmets. I have the carbon fibre model which is light and comfortable. It was approx 25k.

first, congratulations for your bike. as for riding gear, both alpinestars and joe rocket are very good, a bit expensive but worth it. if possible don't buy anything without trying it on.

I know, a friend bought one of those for 18-19K odd if I remember correctly.
I am not an authority by a long shot, but I don't classify Joe Rocket into the same 'high end' league when it comes to helmets. Atleast not in the same class as Arai, Shoei, Shark & AGV.
Infact the carbon fiber Joe Rocket is almost identical to its mfring firm HJC's CL series carbon fiber helmet.

                              safety gear

as manson said try out the safety gear before buying.
helmet. jacket, gloves and boots must be tight snug fit and may feel heavy and uncomfortable initially, but will become comfortable with regular use.

see how the Motogp riders wear all that safety gear and ride.
                              dreams come true..
