  • [Photo Feature]: My revamped steed : Hyosung Comet GT250

Here are the first pictures of my revamped comet.

The bike was dismantled right down to the smallest nut and repainted.

    Things done:
    - All the nuts/screws/other parts zinc-ed
    - The red parts of the bike repainted in red. This red is from the Suzuki GSXR600 red paint scheme.

First I thought I'll repaint it in blue or white but then decided against it and went for the red color.

    - New sticker work

My idea was to put stickering of the latest version of comet available in the market. Irshaad bhai made it better by putting his own idea of black background and chrome sticker in the front. I liked it and it came out very good

    - Engine, Chassis, Wheels painted black

    - Rearsets installed

My bike's gear shift shaft already needed a replacement hence I thought why not try installing the rearset itself.

    - After market rear sprocket installed
I had ordered for a stock 46 tooth sprocket but by mistake the seller on ebay sent the 44 tooth one which is ok for me, it is just that bike will lose little initial pickup but would be stress free on higher speeds.
    - New chain
    - Had already installed the aftermarket pazzo levers on the bike some months back

After almost of 3.5 months of work I got my bike with a new look. And I am happy with it

Will click more and better pictures of it when I go for a ride next.

Mods: Hope I have opened this thread in appropriate section. If not please move it.

Beautiful, there is something very attractive about the simple naked form of the GT250. The paint job looks professional, most importantly you have not gone overboard with anything.

    Take good care of her!

            Thanks Sunny.
            Thanks guys.

Tried to keep it simple and subtle

Yeah Irshaad bhai does the job very well and he himself comes up with good ideas/suggestion, for e.g. the sticker work and the red colored parts. After all he has all these years of work experience

Forgot to post one more photo for the day
            The new tank pad:

^^The levers are 6 way adjustable according to your hand size hence the numbers. Six means you have long fingers and one means the other way round.

Sumit, your bike looks absolutely fab! The paint job is very professional. Is that a transparent/red tank pad or is it under the paint?
The chrome on black stickers always look good on dark colours. Its put that way to give an embossed effect. My Bullet has the same thing and it just stands out!!
Could you give us a brief idea of the engine work that needed to be done and parts that needed to be replaced?
I shall catchup with you on the 27th if you are free. Ill be riding back to mangalore on the 28th morning. Maybe you could join in for an early morning ride towards Maddur/mysore.

                              Cheers!
