And the R6 'S' version is the other version here with the longer exhaust, both available on 08:

I had one query here....wasn't the new R6 having the exhaust like the new Fireblade...i.e half exhaust(as seen in the below pic)..!! OR does it come in 2 variants...!!

                  Hi Inder..
these are two differnt models altogether

one is the R-6 and the other is the R-6S
not only in looks ..but the compression ration and even the boreXstroke differs in both. and price diff is about 1300 USD.

However congrates for the New Yamaha yaar..anything in that CC of motor is awsome..ride safe
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

There is one more difference ... The Front Suspension Forks are Normal way up, not upside down, like most Supersports ...

In fact, this was so shocking to me, I thought it was a modified bike ...

                        Thanks All!
Like many have pointed out, the R6S and R6 are different. The R6 is the current generation R6 with the gp exhaust. The R6S (that I bought) is essentially the '05 R6.

Reasons that I chose the 'S' over the R6 were...
                        1) Better Ergos (I use this to commute in L.A Traffic)
                        2) Better street manners
                        3) It can get off a stoplight without having to scream its lungs out
                        4) Looks better (which is highly subjective.. but just look at that face )
                        5) Still a potent track weapon

Oh.. and this was the only 600 ever to be Sport Rider magazine's 'Bike of the Year'
It has been established that everyone on the internet is a well-hung, millionaire Ninja

Beg to differ sunny, the 11, and sub 11 sec runs started happening only in the 2006 speedrun, and those too were on a red R1, and a yellow gixxer 1000.
Since then the times have just gotten lower, but i don't remember seeing any 600 do a sub 11 run till the last speedrun.
